I plan on getting the APS 70mm CAI installed, finishin up the wiring of the Blitz SBC ID-3 boost controller before Kiwi comes by. I have an entire check list for everything left. If I finish before Kiwi comes by, I am going through everything we worked on to check to tq on the bolts. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Dave - I am sleeping over Steve's house, so you can come over his place before 5 am? I want to leave at 5am, incase we hit any traffic or soccer mom's trying to cut off 18-wheelers. John - Thanks. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | ***Day 5*** Well, where can I start? The APS 70mm is in, FMIC is totally hooked up, got the Aeromotive FPR installed, spacers are in, vac lines for boost controller/FPR are in. At about 11:xx PM we primed the car for oil and fuel. I loaded in the base map Chris at EFI Logics sent me, then we were ready to start the car. I started the car, it started up, then I get the shout of whoa, off, off. I turn the car off, and all I can hear is splatter of liquid. Needless to say, we def now found that damned oil leak I had before. It wasn't the copper washers, its the hard AL looking line that feeds the AVC system, it had a hairline crack in it, and now has enough to make my car have a PERIOD! Ian says he has another one, and manifold gaskets. Since it was late, Delvin and Ian left, while Palmer and I worked on getting the intake manifold off the JDM TGV's. We got as far as getting the intake manifold off and moved over so that Ian can see it when he comes by to get that hard line swapped out. Well, I take the approach on the brighter side, atleast this happened while the car was on the lift, and not on the dyno or driving around . I thank God for that. No pics for today, sorry, but I will update when I hear whats the next step. I have learned this, the more you mod the more patience you need for things like this, always look on the brighter side, things happen for a reason, take them as lessons learned, and don't stress and use up your energy on useless anger. |

| Amateur STI Driver | what do you think of your invidia exhaust? I currently have a aps 3.5" turboback and im thinking I want to go the g200 route. I have never heard the g200 in person, so im not exactly sure what to expect. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | ^I like it, I may change it up to something else just because I want a lil something new. The G200 is a great exhaust and sounds amazing, check out You-Tube and type it in, thats the best way to hear what exhaust systems sound like. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2004 Trader Rating: (7) | chris, thought about getting the braided line from P&L to replace that line so it doesn't ever have an issue again? |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | ^Good idea, but you can't really. Its a metal al tube that runs infront of the head and taps in via 17mm banjo looking bolt, then runs along the side, takes in again with a 17mm banjo bolt, then runs straight up which has a threaded portion, and thats where the oil feed line (aka the SS FP oil feed line) connects to. I will take a pic of it when I can. Kiwi gave me the part, along with the two gaskets I need. Looks like we will work on her again either Sunday or def Monday. |

If you are talking about the line on the Passenger Side then it is totally doable and you should definitely do it now. When I had my intake manifold off I totally pulled out that stock POS line that tends to leak on half of everybody who does a turbo upgrade. I replaced it with braided lines and fittings. Here is my stock line removed: http://www.bescaredracing.com/sti/tu...k/DSC00461.JPG Here are pics of the new line: http://www.bescaredracing.com/sti/tu...y/DSC09770.JPG www.bescaredracing.com - /sti/turbo/oil_feed/diy/install/ t This ad is not endorsed by this member.
