IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Here are some pics: From Steve Cusco Master Cylinder Brace: ![]() From my g/f!!! GTSpec Anti-Lift Kit: ![]() ZeroSport Cool Thermostat: ![]() FP SS Oil Feed Line for the SZ55: ![]() I will take pics of the air compressor, nothing new to most people, but for me, its something I have always wanted. I hooked it up with the 25' Goodyear hose and snapped in a air gun, ahhhh the sweet sweet sounds of an air tool in my garage! It will be def nice to have, plus I can use it to dry off my car when I wash it, also you can use the air to blow dirt out of the interior trim as well .Also no updates or e-mails from Gruppe-S on my Seibon CF Vortex Generator. FedEx did come last Friday to pick it up like they stated they would. I will give them till tomorrow, if nothing, I will call them Friday to see what the hell is going on. IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Update STi: Was pretty bored and not tired last night at 11:30pm, so I figured what the hell, why not install the Cusco Master Cylinder Brace. You will see later in the pics what I am talking about, but this install is a pure PITA! I finished at 12:40am, too that freaking long. The first two bolts holding these brackets for the fuel lines were easy. Then you need to take another bolt out in the back towards the firewall that holds down part of the master cylinder I believe. After thats done, you have to remove the lower bracket that was the 1 of 2 in the front, this lower bracket holds the + and - main wires coming off the battery, why it has a bracket beats me. They are perfectly fine without one, but you can not use that lower bracket once the Cusco part is installed. Take that bracket off that was magically secured to the wires was very interesting. After thats done, you have work your Cusco part in there to align to the bolt holes. Now is the uber interesting part!!!! Trying to get the 2 bolts in the back in the holes and starting them! There is hardly any room for your hands, atleast for my big hands. I was able to get the bolts in, took about 10 mins each, aligning everything to match the hole was difficult, you really can't see crap when your doing the install, unless you want to remove a bunch of crap. Finally, all the bolts were in place, I used a box ratching wrench (10mm) to tighten the bolts in the rear, and then a 1/4" drive rachet (10mm) to get the ones in the front. A swivel head is very useful in getting at the angles. Then you simply just thread the bolt through the Cusco Brace, apply the nut which will secure everything later, apply the red stopper that pushes against the brace, and tighten everything down. I don't know how tight I could go, so I went as far as I felt was enough, before I thought something would snap. I will have driving impressions later this week. Here is the pics of it installed, its really a PITA to install. ![]() Here is my 21 gallon air compressor with the 25' Goodyear hose attached, can't wait to use this!!! ![]() Finally, I had to post this. This is my Nephew: Tyler, he is my Godson, and I have already started him in cars since he was born. I was walking in KB Toys and found this lil gem. I was like crap, its just like the '02 WRX I just bought, it lights up and moves and rumbles, even plays music. He loved it, later when he gets older, I am planing on getting him a PowerWheels, found a sweet Corvette with an actual radio and cup holders . Don't worry, he will be in Subarus when he gets his license. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (29) | Thanks Bill, its seriously a pain to install. The benifits are great, you def feel the brake pedal be more responsive and stiffer. Should be an added + at Limerock. |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2004 Trader Rating: (0) | Looks like a great Chistmas! Queston on your Master Cylinder brace: Daily driving can you tell much difference with Mast Cyl brace installed? Enough so DD it's worth it? I have one new in the package, but realized it looked like you described a PIA to install so I haven't put it in yet. I've pretty much dedicated my car to a DD now, but I drive it in a "spirited" fashion as frequently as I can. Do you think its worth it for me to install, or should I just sell it? |
