Yup, esp since you have the lightened crank pulley. Just get the stock one resurfaced.

They said that the stock flywheel being resurfaced is not the greatest idea since its dual mass (No idea what they meant). Al, do you still have that other STi flywheel??

The STI flywheels being dual mass is news to me.

Either way, flywheels have a lot of material on them and if the clutch just started slipping and you didn't overheat the crap out of it, it shouldn't need very much material taken off of it to smooth it back out so I think you will be just fine.

Alright, thanks to everyone here on IWSTi....and researching the crap on the net...I finally got my results...and came to a conclusion!

I am ordering today the ACT Performance Street Clutch that comes with the throw-out bearing, pilot bearing, alignment tool, and everything else needed. I will be resurfacing the stock STi flywheel, installing a stainless steel braided clutch line, and replacing the clutch fluid with Motul RBF600 Brake fluid (Clutch Fluid = Brake Fluid same used in both applications). Ontop of that, I will be welding the crack that is in my Invidia midpipe where the hanger is welded, installing Whiteline rear locking bolts (Thanks Bruce!!), and tapping into the exhaust manifold for the EGT sensor for my Defi EGT gauge that I already have installed.

Yah......the car will be getting a crap load of work done next week.......as for E-Town....I will prob be showing it, since I won't be able to put 500-700miles on the new clutch before the shootout ....theres always another day....but I will be there with the Subie for support and just relax and watch!!

you might as well do the clutch delay valve delete, chris. it will take you all of 25 minutes to do.

the stock master cylinder has a hydraulic delay or hesitation designed into the system to protect it against people who can't drive. you can remove it in two steps and it takes about 25 minutes, provided you have everything you need.

this thread describes both steps:
Clutch delay valve repost (with pics)

this thread shows little ricky's alternative method of doing the second step. it saves you the trouble of searching for the correct sized and threaded oil drain plug by taping a hole and using a set screw. unless you have the plug handy, this is the way to go:
clutch delay valve delete - alternative method

Update!

Tomorrow (Sunday) I am going to my buddy's house to drop the car off for the work it needs! Here is a list of things that are going to be done!

-Removing the Invidia Midpipe to bring to my welder and him weld the hanger back on (its tearing a hole = exhaust leak), and he will inspect the rest of the piping and reinforce if needed.

-Tap and install the EGT Sensor for my Defi EGT Gauge.

-Install Whiteline Rear Subframe bolts.

-Install ACT Street Performance Clutch, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing.

-Resurface the Flywheel.

-Install SS Braided Clutch Line.

-Do the Clutch Valve Delete that Bruce suggested (Thanks again Bruce!!).

-Flush Clutch fluid out and put in Motul RBF 600 Brake Fluid (Brake Fluid = Clutch Fluid....same stuff).

-Oil Change.

-Then reinstall Invidia Midpipe that was be fixed with new exhaust gaskets.

My car should be pretty good after all that work......I can't wait to see how the clutch will feel and react while driving......should be pretty nice....I tried Al's clutch once...and the pedal feel is really nice. Should be interesting...pics to come!
