LOL, That's what I get from you...you cursed on me, you kept saying Strut clunk, strut clunks....

I think we messed up on the order that we put the parts, the CORRECT order:
Strut->Spring->Rubber->Metal perch->Washer->camber plates

But, I think we did:
Strut->Spring->Rubber->Washer->Metal perch->camber plates

I believe that I saw the metal washer being under the metal perch...no? Pretty sure I saw that.....cause I remember we had problems with getting that main bolt on the the strut for the camber plates. Should of also lubed up the struts some....hmmm.

Yeah...that's can be one of the reasons Dont' know. I remembered that when we installed the pinks on my 04, it made noises too. and Wayne told me the washers were placed incorrectly. Have to take them off and check , because the noise has just gone worse. Will get lub-ed. :P

UPDATE: Just got an email from Myles:

Quote:
The big conical washer goes on TOP of the big metal black perch, and then the camber plates goes over it.
Quote:
So its:

spring, black perch, washer, then camber plate.

So while someone holds the whole thing down( or spring compressor) you have to make sure the entire thing goes down below the "ledge" that is on the shaft, otherwise it will make noise and you wont be able to get almost any threads on it.

When done correctly, there will only be 2 threads NOT on the stock top nut.

Myles

Thats def true!!! Crap...I wonder if we put the washer ontop on one of them or both. Well Pui, atleast they will be fixed. You may want to through some lithium grease or something to get things all nice.

See what happens when you do not follow my instructions....

You have to make sure you place the washer between the perch and the hats!! Now go off start wrenching! The cone has to be looking up, so flat part on the perch /_\...

Also get some grease too so you can spray the shafts before you put them back on the car.

Just got tuned yesterday at XXTuning by Dough from TopSpeed. Tony, Doug, and the rest of the XXTuning crew are all great people. Their place is freaking awesome!!! Its a dreamland for us!!! They have everything, and know how to install everything. Well, I will just post my numbers. The sheets will be scanned, and I have videos, which I will post later. So here are the results!!

NOTE! ALL RUNS WERE IN 5th GEAR! 4th gear runs made the dynopacks shake, which they will be fixed next week. Tony & Doug said that you basically add 20hp and 20tq for any 5th gear pulls!!

Baseline:
266.2hp & 314.8tq in 5th gear! Which is basically: 286.2hp & 334.8tq in 4th gear.

My Protune in Pump Gas:
285.4hp & 352.2 in 5th Gear! Which is basically: 305.4hp & 372.2tq in 4th gear.

My Protune with Meth (50/50 Meth & Distilled Water):
317.8hp & 421.4tp in 5th Gear!!!!! Which is basically: 337.8hp & 441.4tq in 4th Gear!!!!!!

Yah.....ummm, I love it!!! More info/vids/dyno sheets to come later......Enjoy!!!
