yeah Cobb for sure. I figured it looks nice (almost oem), im not a fan of the huge jet exhaust. and i also dont want the car to scream. so I heard the cobb catted tbe and loved it. Plus if i get the AP im sure it will work very well together since Cobb probably tested their maps on their tbe.

Well Saturday, I went to see Sebastian and Rob to have them help me install my stuff in my car. I gotta thank them very much for all their help and their tools and everything. I really appreciated it! Ok, now for the details. I got there in the morning and we started off with the brake lines. We took off the old brake lines and installed the very nice Cobb SS Brake Lines. Afterwards, we flushed the fluids out with the new Motul RBF600 brake fluid. Bleeding/flushing took the most time I would say. After that was finished, we started on the DP, took the intercooler off and Rob got cracking on installing the NGK one step colder spark plugs. Once the DP was off, we started to put the VF39 Turbo wrap on. It was a PITA cause the thing wouldn't sit right. The piece was a little too long, and wasn't working. So we cut the excess stuff off, and sewed the metal wire through the heat wrap and was able to get the wrap on there really good...that sucker wasn't coming out! The O2 sensor came out of the old DP, but the one thread was a lil messed up. It was still good enough were it would thread back in. Thanks to having the Mechanical CEL Fix I bought. If anything crossed threaded, it would have been on the Mech CEL fix and not the DP O2 sensor bung. Everything was pasted with Anti-seeze and screwed into place. DP went in. While they were finishing that, I put the Poltec Sway bar collars on the rear sway bar. Hopefully this fixes the sway bar from shifting, it should! The Cobb SS Heatshield was put on.....fluids checked, and then I drove around and activated the ABS system to get the rest of the old fluids pushed through. Then I came back in and we bleed the system again for air bubbles and finished it off with the Motul stuff. Here are some pics:

Here you can see the A/C line, we used the excess Heat wrap to wedge between the A/C drain line and the DP.....now its all good:

The awesome Invidia TBE system...Stg2 couldn't look any better!

Great Looking Pics Chris, and BTW to everyone that wants to know a 1st hand account....umm 1 word..."WOW" the sound is great, a bit loud for my taste, but the power is umm "WOW" again, I have been in his car maybe once a week and has seen it progress from the day he bought it to now, and well my ass DYNO says, MUCHO POWER increase now, STAGE 2 is WAY COOL...Oh yea and from another STi owner, his car puts my head to the back of the seat when accellerating now....this thing is quick now...

And Chris, YES YOU CAN BORROW MY CAMERA

Impressions:

Well the NGK 1 step colder spark plugs seem to let the engine idle smoother, but then again that could be the STG2 map from Cobb.

The Cobb SS Brake Lines and the Motul Brake Fluid def make the brake pedal stiffer, and makes the brake feel a lot more "stronger". Its way better now to rev match since the brake pedal doesn't have to travel so far anymore.

STG2 is awesome! Spools up mad crazy, more power/tq, and it totally changes the cars attitude. The car def sounds meaner.....and the Invidia TBE is awesome....the way it opens up...I hardly listen to the music, just roll the windows down and step on the pedal. Love it!

Here are some other pics.

Pic of the intercooler out....hmmm FMIC would be nice!

Here is a pic right after I test drove STG2...smoking outta the scoop from the wrap and the new DP and turbo wrap...can hardly see it..but it was cool to see it fume.

Stay tuned to other updates...SMC Kit still needs to go in, also the APS Turbo inlet...and more stuff to be ordered hopefully middle of this week. Thanks!

Rob, your car is awesome!!! I hope that knock sensor gets worked out....man, after being in your car, I def wanna upgrade my turbo!!

Chris I must say that it was great to finally meet you. After our PM Morning Whoring ritual we finally met

The car is great, very well mantained and taken care off. The car now sounds mean, it has that low rumble....a +1 for the Invidia TBE

I realized I did not drive the car , maybe next time or at the track wanted to compare it to mine

Well I hope you enjoy the STG-2, and get cracking on the springs please. Thank you very much!

Kev, you know what that jacket is for...its my Pimp jacket. If you didn't waste your time on IWSTi, you could be on the streets making me my damn money! Now, get off that f'ing chair and make me my damn money, I need some more goodies before my tune and track day. I kid, I kid. So, you liked the way the car ran? How did it sound when it was WOT? Btw, did you put it into 4th the last run? So after all that, you going with a catless dp?!?!? Its def worth it!
