STiXXX - So you insured your mods on your car and it only cost you $135 extra for the entire year?

at donating. Nah, I need the WRX for rainy/cold days, and seeing my g/f. She lives up north, and yah, not a good idea AT ALL to drive the STi and park her in the street. Chinky knows what I am talking about! Plus, when its mad hot outside, I will use the WRX vs the Camaro, since the Camaro doesn't have A/C!

Harrison/Kearny area.....yah....no STi parking there, thats half the reason why I got the WRX.

Yeah,it took the insurance company two days to cook up an algorithm to sell me. Here's the deal: the car's value is about $21K,totaled. I have about $14K in documented mods-I'm retentive about receipts. That's $35K,conservatively.
I assumed that giving me insurance on mods that increased the 'value' of the car by more than 50% would be a screwing,if they didn't just flat-out laugh at me. I read in a tuner mag this month about a picture-perfect STi that some guy had stolen and stripped. He had,it looked to me,about $25K in mods-and he lost it ALL-that's just brutal.
He recovered,and bought himself a Skyline,so he landed on his feet,but he stated that everyone with mods should look into that insurance,and I did,the next day.
The $135 price tag make me ask several times if there was some sort of clusterf*ck at the insurance company-those bastards never give anybody a 'deal',ever.
(I am 40 years old,I don't know if that factors,and they also insure my RX8,house,etc...your experience may vary,but hell,it's a bargain at double or triple that,if you've got enough invested.)

No real updates yet, paid a member here on the 15th for the APS Fuel Rail Kit, and I am still waiting on a tracking #. I wonder if he even shipped it yet or what is happening. I am sure its on its way, I hope! Still looking for a nice catback for the WRX, I may have found one at a shop Steve knows. But once I get the APS Fuel Rails and pay my car bill, insurance, cell phone, etc off this month, I am calling up Full-Race in March!

Alright, I need some insight on a decsion for my STi. WRXBrakes is going to have an awesome GB on DBA 5000 brake rotors. I was just wondering what color the center hats should be. I plan on getting the Advan RS rims in dark gunmetal (18"s). I was thinking that gold hats on the rotors would be nice, or should I just stick with black? Any ideas?!

Have any pics, Chris? If it's a pretty good match to the brembo gold, then I'd probably go for it. A little spiff with the brakes will set things off.

Thats what I was thinking. I am really set on the Advans, they are in my secret planning book at DOD, so I have the print out to prove it! Everytime I see someone else get those rims, I am like crap, not another person! Its, with my kit, I think I will be different enough. Hmm here is a pic of the DBA 5000 Gold:
