Thanks, yah I can't wait to get rid of the dumb TMIC, its such a hassle to work around it when I install parts. Cool, let me know what you find out, thanks bro.

Update on the STi:

I will be purchasing the APS Fuel Rails from a member here this week. Next thing to buy will probably be something from Full-Race ! Thats about it on the STi:

Update on the WRX:

I purchased an Invidia V2 Catless Dp. All I need is a nice catback. Anyone have a nice one for sale?! I just want to get the biggest part of the lag in the lower rpm. Its running good, and when I have to do an oil change, I plan on putting Amsoil Synthetic engine oil, along with Synthetic tranny fluid, and rear diff fluid. That should get her running even better.

dudddddeee, don't mod the rex. the point of a daily driver is to keep it subtle and reliable.

Jake - So far I spent only $400, and that got me the Cobb Accessport Ver 1 with Street Tuner, and an Invidia V2 Catless Downpipe. Drive a bugeye, and you will know why I need to free the breathing!

MonsterSubie - Hmm, how much? Prob way too much for just my daily driver, since I know what I paid for mine when it was new.

A stg 2 wrx is reliable.

It also cuts out any boost lag.

throw the stock sti exhaust on there with the dp! and then the stock tmic when you get the fmic just keep transfer the stock parts when you upgrade on the STi turbo, and everything... get some 15mm lug conversion spacers and throw the stock wheels on that bad boy to !
since when is stg2 not reliable?

I drive a Stage II,soon to be Stage III,in Maine,with no problems.
In a storm,I dial the boost down to 11#,simple enough.

The lag currently is crap. Its really peppy at 3500-4000 RPM. Before that its really laggy. I have to take it through inspection in April, after I pass its go time! I need to order up the heat wrap and copper heat spray, then I will do surgery on the dp. I need a dp-turbo gasket, and a heat shield as well. When I first go her, stock with only a CAI, it was really crappy, but its a daily driver. Big difference is this, take my 2002 WRX for a spin for about 30 mins, then jump in the STi and floor her, thats always fun!

What I plan to do is simple for the WRX, get the DP I have now installed after inspection, along with a heat shield. When I upgrade the STi with the SZ55, I will throw on the STi TMIC along with the stock BPV, VF39, STi injectors (After I send them out to get re-done by DW). That should get the WRX right to where I would like it to be for a daily driver. After that point, I will work on the exterior to get it back to new and make it really sleek and clean, almost like a JDM looking WRX. Then simply work on the interior to make it cleaner and more comfortable, add in a in-dash navi and speakers and call it a day. The seats in the WRX are far better than the STi seats, funny how they got worse over the years.

Your EJ257 STi Injectors will not work on the WRX.

you're going to need to snag some STi Pink injectors or modify the stock WRX ones.
