Thanks Bill. ETA....dunno...right now I am saving to move out, gotta do that first. I will try in the meantime to buy all the other things I need, thing is, I have already set down on a list what I want, they are the "best" in my book, and that being said, they are pretty expensive.....especially the Full Race exhaust manifold wtih EWG up-pipe! So, hopefully within the upcoming months I will have everything I need minus the manifold and FMIC. Your turbo will prob be in way before mine.

Update:

I have the money all set for the final payment for the Ings+1 Front Bumper and Side Skirts. Just waiting on a call back for my information to finalize the payment and then the Ings+1 goodies should be here within 2 weeks!

Now, I just was thinking and I should def throw on the GT Spec Fender Braces. Also, I wanted to put on the Syms Wider Front Fenders with the nice turn signals.....just have to figure out who sells these suckers at a good price...anyone? Then get all that painted and installed and roll around with a fresh new look for now....and just save up to move out.

Well, no new updates other than the front bumper and side skirts will be here in a week or so....so trouble with the payment process, but its all good now.

I don't know what I can do to the car to make it better that wouldn't cost me soo much money. I am waiting on Lenny to post some pics of the NRG CF mirrors he got, they seem to be the "replica" versions of the Chargespeeds I want....so I have to see how much of a "replica" they are, if its the exact same style like I imagine, then I am going to go for it. My birthday is coming up this Saturday, so i will see what parts/$ I get.......I prob will pull the trigger for the C-West front grille, since its cheap and I can throw it on while I get the front bumper and sideskirts painted and installed.

The car does need a good cleaning inside and out, maybe I will do that this week, other than that, anyone have any ideas that I can "mod" my car but wouldn't cost me much . I love to work on my car, just that I am saving to move out and its like a crack addiction going cold turkey! I am thinking about going ahead and really cleaning out the engine bay, I have some degreaser stuff I use, any tips and tricks? I was thinking using that stuff with a garden hose and covering up any electrical components I think may get "damaged" from the water.

Your trying to do too much at one time & not getting any one thing accomplished. Eat it like an Elephant (a little at a time) & focus on one area (either interior, exterior, power, etc.) at a time & FINISH it, then move on to the next.

Yah, I really want this turbo in, but the $ for all the parts is huge. Its either I save up and move out or buy the parts, can't do both. I can however do "little" things. I really wish I had some kind of sponsership to help me out. I wouldn't mind going to car shows, etc. We will see what I come up with in the upcoming months.

Way I see it you have three options:

1. Live in your parents basement for the rest of your life & have an awesome car
2. Stop modding your car until you can afford it & move out.
3. Live in a van down by the river

There's plenty of time for living in a van down by the river, when you're living in a van, down by the river

chris save your damn money. Now you're just buying stupid mods for the sake of it. Get your own place, then save up for something worth while!

I got some of the 3M engine cleaner/degreaser a few weeks ago. I let the engine warm up, until it was WARM and not hot to touch. I then went to work with the saran wrap, covering the alternator, and any wired connection along with the airbox/snorkel etc. I then actually placed seran wrap on the edge of the engine bay where the quarter panels are, because you dont want to get any of this stuff on your paint. I sprayed the whole engine bay and let it sit for about 5 minutes, then put the hose on the soaker setting and went over everything gently. Then DRY everything you can with towels, and then start your engine to dry things off you couldnt reach. It turned out MINT, PM me with any questions.

you don't have to cover anything up in the engine bay unless you have aftermarket electronics you didn't seal up prior.
and you do need to focus on one thing lol you're going bonkers.

Well this is how it goes so far. I have cut my credit card bills to basically just gas and some food, which is a HUGE break for me. I can afford easily some "little" mods that I always wanted, but the turbo upgrade is really what I would like to get installed, but then I am pushing my block even more. So, I will try and get my car to look nicer, and do some things that help it out, and at the same time save big bucks so I can move out. I am too old to be living at home anymore......its time for me to get out. It really really sucks having this beautiful turbo sitting in my bedroom, and not being able to install it because I don't have all the supporting mods yet. I will try hard to get the cheaper parts on my list for the turbo setup, this way it won't kill me in my savings attempt.

Scuba/Billy - I will take your advice and try that out hopefully today! I miss working on my own car....I work on other people's cars more than mine these past few months!

Chris, would you mind sharing your experiences with the cusco mounts. I am 85% to buy them, but wasn't sure if they would be annoying on freeway drives to and from the track. Thanks a lot!

I never bought the Cusco Engine and Tranny Mounts yet, but I have been in a car that has them, and they are fine. I have def heard about the Group-N mounts getting 'soft' after awhile. I would def suggest the Cusco mounts, if your upgrading, might as go all out!

thanks a lot Chris! Whenever I see what mods I want, I just take a look at your mod list haha. You are representing the OBPs very well.
