Seriously though... We'll see... it's gonna be the APS DR525 with my APS top mount for sale... or it will be a meth kit incorporated onto the APS top mount!

"Super" 20G here I come

You pretty much have the setup I want:

DB 20g
Deatschwork 740s
APS Headers (although I might prefer perrin )
APS TMIC

I feel you on being hesitant about the FMIC. It's a biatch to install, it's vulnerable to road debris, expensive, etc. But then again, no heatsoak and extra power. What is a mod addict to do?

BUY IT! Installation will be easy, Ian and I will be putting that baby in! I am going to get a black mesh that will go infront of it to trap any debris coming at it. I think with his future setup of the Superzilla 20G, he may need the FMIC because the TMIC is probably at its limits right now if he goes with meth.

Good question!..

BTW... I want that CF Driveshaft that YOU have to say the least! Was it worth $1,100 to you?

Hmm...prob not. Was it worth $700? Probably. There is definitely a noticeable difference on the butt dyno, as well as how smooth the shifts are now. And talk about easy to install. That's probably the major thing keeping me from doing a turbo upgrade right now is the cost to install all the crap like: turbo, injectors, tgvs, inlet pipe, etc because I don't think I want to tackle a turbo install myself.

Yeah, unfortunately I am the most mechanically inclined of all my friends...which is quite sad to tell you the truth.

$650 on a d/s is a redunkulous deal.

Thanks to a life? UGB!

Yea, wait for one of the C/F shafts to pop up on the boards. It is worth $7-$800-, but I would not pay full price. It is definitely a marked improvement.

There is a big thread on NASIOC where someone actually did back to back dyno pulls with & without the shaft on a WRX, the result was 13WHP gain with the shaft. That does really does not tell the whole story about what the shaft does though, and of course you will see higher gains as your power increases.

I'll have to definitely keep my eye out for a decently priced C/F driveshaft, but sadly I don't have the luck to catch that sort of thing in time or find one fairly priced!

Yeah, I definitely agree... I need to focus on the most important things first, money does NOT grow on trees and I can't pack on additional hours of work during school. Looking forward to some summer savings!

Just a small update... I've been researching some meth injection kits as of late.

Have been pondering between a upcoming offering from Aquamist which includes the DDS3 controller.
I have also been researching the Perrin injection kit (Aquamist ripoff) and even possibly the SMC Kit (Pending they release the failsafe!). I am aiming to run one of these 3 kits with the spec c tank to hold additional fluids

Now regarding the APS DR525 FMIC.... It may actually be happening ALSO for summer. Stay tuned.

Not sure if you know this or not but the Perrin Kit is actually made by Aquamist, it's just been rebranded as "Perrin"...it's pretty nice unit and uses the Aquamist piston pump and failsafes.
