I only have 28k miles on the car, but I needed to get it done before returning to school next week.

Anyways, I had a coolant flushing, rear diff/transmission oil replaced, and the cabin filter replaced. Also, I had my brakes inspected and was noted that the fluid was dirty, so that was replaced as well.

Lastly... I FINALLY switched over to synthetic oil. It's about time... no more subaru dino oil. I'll be choosing my own synthetic oil by choice next time around, but I inquired about a synthetic change at the dealership and they used Castrol 5W30 synthetic. It's a start on the synthetic route, but I'll likely choose a different brand next time around!

John, did they say anything about your parts???

Nope... I've never had an issue at my dealership. I even had my rear struts replaced from clunking last year even with JDM pinks.

It's much more improved, but I haven't had the chance to go through the gears much since the change. I think that a bushing or part of the setup might just need a tightening, but from what I could tell there was an improvement. Wish I could head down with Mark tomorrow Chris... take care of him!

Just stay the hell away from Mobil 1 5w30 or 10w30.

I'm good, I've been real busy as I had to pack and get back to school. I have my first class this semester in an hour. On a sidenote the gauges look awesome, and the install was very clean Thanks again Chris & Ian.

Will get pics up one of these days.

Sweet! Glad to hear everything went smoothly! Hopefully in a week or two Taryn will be ready to meet up...and you and Ash could come! Should get interesting.

Sorry thought you had read my posts about it. Yes, MAJOR oil consumption. Like 1 qt every 250 miles bad. I've switched back to regular dino oil and it's slowly starting to get better. Several other people have reported similiar issues when using Mobil 1, which went away when they tried different oil.

I know WolfPlayer is/was using Mobil 1 Racing oil which I think it 0w40, but for some reason it's been working well for him.

Ah, that's right I do recall your oil issues, just didn't remember the culprit being Mobil 1. The only Mobil 1 that I've considered is the racing oil like Wolf like you said. I'll have to look into it for the next oil change.
