I don't understand why you need JDM headlight as they are aim on the opposite side of the road we drive on. They will just glare oncoming drivers.

Isn't "JDM" just a fancy term for RICE? But, to each his/her own. I don't see the sense in spending a premium for STOCK parts, but whatever.....

Nice car, btw. Looks great.

Yours didn't exactly set the world on fire. Since your level of intelligence seems to be unparallelled, I'll assume you won't mind explaining the benefits and the purpose of spending premiums on stock parts that aren't available in the United States.

See, here the thing. I would spend permium on stock part that ain't USDM if it's a better product.

For example, Audi used to equip US spec cars with cheap-a** headlights that you can't even see two feelt in front of you. In this case, I would buy the European E-code hightlights where the lighting is awsome.

In a case like this where JDM haedlight parts are not improvment over the USDM parts and it can be dangrous to use on public roads is worthless.

This is where I would sperate from buying OEM parts not sold for the US market vs. parts sold in the mothercountry. Therefore, I think in this case, it's useless to buy the JDM headlights.

Exactly, but those parts aren't necessarily legal on a street car in the US either.

I'd prefer to stick with factory parts as well though, because I KNOW they're going to fit my car, and Subaru isn't going to build parts for their cars that don't work, but buying headlights to be "cool" is just lame. I have an AOL account, and go into the chatrooms sometimes, and all I see are these stupid little ricers talking about "JDM this" and "JDM that." "I bought my JDM intake." "I bought my JDM taillight covers." "I bought JDM springs!"

I surely wouldn't be wasting my money on a premium for factory parts when the aftermarket is available with better parts for the same price, and cheaper under some circumstances.

While on the subject though, I would feel more comfortable buying "factory aftermarket" parts such as SPT products, because I KNOW they're going to work on my car without causing problems.

FINE. Go buy SPT and your legal parts, then. Why piss and moan about what others want to spend their money on? Your "think-like-me-or-you're-crazy" attitude makes you sound exactly like those so-called ricers you describe above.

stibaby: Sorry, this doesn't belong in your journal... keep us updated when you get the new parts installed.
