Nice STI. Always nice to see another Asian on the board.
I see that ur from MD. I use to live there and most of my family live in Gaithersburg or Potomac area.

Hey at least the STI will put a big grin on ur face after driving it. I don't see whats wrong with him living with his parents. In most Asian cultures childern don't leave the house until they're married anyway. I guess its a Asian thing.

My parents don't care what kind of car I drive. They're not the typical Korean materialistic bunch. My parents like the way my car looks said it looked tough and well built.

Woot! Another asian! Welcome aboard! We're the typical Vietnamese family, except they're more americanized so we don't drive Accords and Camrys :P. My dad is a car enthusiast and loves the STi. He's debating on getting a Evo MR so we can have the best of both worlds in our garage. Anyway, great color choice by the way. White + Gold = t3h sex.

Congrats on the car, I love that color combo! Can't wait to see how it comes together with the parts you have listed. For exhaust, my personal fav, and the one I will get once it gets warm around here (Spring), is the Invidia G200 exhaust, check it out, I just love the look and sound of it! Good luck!

Congrats on the new purchase. I looked for a while to find a white/gold, but there weren't any in the northeat. I called a bunch of dealerships, and had them call others and no dice. So i went with the CGM instead.

Thanks everyone again for the comments and the Asian love ! I used to live in Gaithersburg and now live in Laurel...can't wait to meet some of you guys in a meet one day. Seeing STI's around here are a rare sight as I have not seen another one in a while. My parents don't really care about what car I get but they are more worried about the costs of owning such a car plus I put half of my savings for the house on this car but it's worth it!

The guy I bought this from had that same exhaust on this car for a mere 2 days before a VA cop pulled him over and cited him for the exhaust saying that the piping hung too low...maybe the cop was having a bad day. Right now, I am looking at a Borla Hush or a Greddy EVO2 for the little less noise aftermarket exhaust effect but I usually get greedy so maybe the APS exhaust or Invidia will do my liking.

nice car...my mom hates how my car sounds, but thats about it...I only wish my dad was still alive to see this thing. He knew it was one of my favorite cars for some time, I think he'd get a kick out of it.

Sweet looking ride... Kinda like mine before I replaced my wheels. IMO, I'd stick with the white n gold combo. My black FNO1R-C black w/polished lip rims doesn't do much justice as the OE.

Welcome aboard!

planning on buying some Fikse Profil FM-10s for summer and keeping the BBS for winter use. Too bad Fikse can't paint them in gold

I'm Asian too, but my dad thought about getting a STi himself. He commutes about 100 miles a day though so it just wouldn't be good for that. Your parents are concerned about the cost of you owning the STi, but wanted you to get a BMW?
