| All day everyday | June 26th at 2pm is on like Donkey Kong. I have finally set up a protune with Agile Auto in Maryland. I've been toying around in trying to purchase a 20g and supporting mods but I feel that I'll be satisfied with a Stage 2 protune just to be cost effective. It's been a loooong while since I have updated this journal but I had plans wash out due to just not wanting to do it anymore. I'm in the process of paying off some debt I've collected on my credit cards because finance charges are FTL. Here are some things I did not note on this journal that happened since the last update: -I obtained a rare Modellista Designs lip spoiler to go along with my wingless trunk lid but I decided I liked my STI spoiler so I'm sticking to that for now. The only wing that will change my mind will be a S203 spoiler. -I sold the Modellista Designs spoiler and used the money from that and purchased the SMC Alcohol Injection kit. Again, an impulse purchase and I was going to add it to my stage 2 protune. After getting it, I was a little hesitant in installing it on my car since it will be a daily driver and I don't know what effects meth injection will have on a daily driver in the long run. I decided to ditch and sell it sadly...I regret it ![]() Fast forward to now or a few weeks later, I finished paying off one of my $4000 limit credit cards and I still have a long way to go on my other card but I'm glad I was able to hold my itch on mods. I'm pretty sure this card will be back up again when I purchase some new rims. |

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (30) | Heres something that you may of not thought about.......in regards to the Meth Injection...it only comes on at a target boost...so for just cruising around the city, going to work, or the local strip club.....aslong as you stay out of the target boost where the meth kicks in, it won't spray. ! Another thing...get the Spec-C tank, drive like I do (You really don't want to know), and that sucker lasts for 2-3 months at a time.....btw, I drive my '86 Camaro to and from work all week, the weekends is when I drive the STi......V-8 carb'ed engine, vs my Meth Injected STi, can you say that I don't romp on it every chance I get !!!!!!!!!!! Meth Injection FTW! |

That's why I regret ever reselling the stupid thing. I was more concerned about drilling a hole in my tmic and then running meth in a daily driver regardless if it sprays on a certain boost level. At the same time, I was motivated in paying off some debt. I will end up getting meth again when I kickstart my want for a 20g upgrade | |

| All day everyday | Well it's been little over a week since my protune over at Agile and I'm loving my car! Here are the results: ![]() My baseline was 284.4hp/282.7tq on Stage 2 and Hill tuned it and ended up getting 323.2hp/329.5tq on a conservative 21psi on 93oct. Hill told me that my car was consistent throughout the pulls and had no problems whatsoever for a car that just hit 50,000 miles; every pull he did on the car, the curve stayed right on top of each other, which is a testament to our cars stability. I haven't done any WOT pulls to test out the power since I'm letting the ecu relearn. My goal is to have a reliable car with a little power. As far as the car goes, the difference is night and day. The engine and tranny move so much smoother, my idle feels better, shifting doesn't feel clunky like it used to. It's like driving a brand new car! I'm getting to learn the new tune at the moment since the boost kicks in pretty early and I tend to start boosting when I simply step on the pedal. I think this is the best mod I've spent my money on so far! On another note, I picked up a super cheap deal on an Alpine IVA-W200 head unit with the Blackbird navigation and dock from a friend so I'm psyched about that one. I will be selling my Kenwood DDX-7015 once I get the new head unit installed. I've heard that the Blackbird navi sucks but I couldn't complain about the price for the package deal so I just went ahead and did it. Here's also a pic of my car on the Dynapack. |

| Spec C Club | good numbers but 21psi on the Vf39 lil bit too much for my taste. But hey to each his own. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
