I don't think I have cleaned my engine bay in two years that I have owned the car.....

There's this kitchen degreaser something along the lines i think that's called "lean mean degreasing machine". I sprayed it on a damp cloth and started wiping away. Used simple green to clean the frame in the engine bay and under the hood and the hoses. Finished it off with a little bit of armor all on the hoses and dark plastic parts. It doesn't take me that long. You can also use 409 as a substitute to the degreasing spray.
