IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (2) | I did my HVAC controls myself, I am really curious how to do the Defi Controller unt. Please PM if you get a chance to point me in the right direction. I absolutly HATE the white, throws off the whole interior. Thanks!! -Tim |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2005 Trader Rating: (77) | Anyways last night I swapped center consoles pieces with a good friend of mine for free so I could try out a new idea I had. Well it was everyones good ideas on the forum which led me to try this out. Instead of using flat black, or semi flat black paint, I tried out Krylon ULTRA flat black. There is absolutely no gloss finish to this paint, I wanted it to resemble more of a S203 interior look, and to me, that doesnt look to glossy. This looks more OEM in my opinion, and even matches the dash better. I also used a red sharpie to outline the STi on the shifter trim. I painted the knobs on the HVAC, because of another members idea, I think it was Franklin, but not positive, either way its a great addition. On top of that I painted the screw with the same paint , for even more contrast on the shifter trim. I also got an alignment today and it went great. They set it up to my specs and the car drives nice and straight now. I def feel that turning has been positivly affected since they maxed out the front camber. I also got tinted the other day and still need to take pics of that. I got 35%...Enough to do its job and keep the police away ![]() anyways without further delay, here is the dash ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tell me how you like it....this is compared to my old setup... ![]() ![]() You can really tell the difference in person and in the pictures. Even the semi flat looked glossy and I wanted to get rid of that look. Last edited by LightWerkz; 02-18-2006 at 07:05 PM. |

| Authorized Vendor | wow......looks ALOT like the pics I've seen of the S203 now....good job! Doesn't the S203 have silver knobs on the HVAC? Or did you want it to match in the black? I happen to like the black better |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2005 Trader Rating: (77) | Thanks Adam ![]() Yes the s203 has the silver knobs with black face. Only problem is there is no way to spray paint the face since their is no way to spray paint around the letters and numbers. So I decided to take another approach and paint the actual knobs and leave the faces silver. So it resembles the s203, but isnt actually the same. |
