"only" 360whp?

what makes them so fast? just a better design? better frame? stronger breaks...

RWD, better suspension, and lighter (I think)

Yup, it a heavy, noisy, smelly car that like to play in the mud.

I never noticed your V1 mount. How exactly did you mount it? Self tapping screw? Existing hole? I'm sick of mine being under the mirror.

Lamer, there's a hole in the ceiling there (at least on 05s) for where the 04's "mini visor" used to mount.

Remove screw cap, and screw into that. Black dots are the only issue.

Ahhh damn those dots. I forgot about them, yet they are the reason why I was asking how he mounted the V1 since mine won't suction cup to the dots.. Grrr.

I'd like to fab some kind of bar/plate deal that would mount to that hole, and then the fab'd piece would hold the detector right above the mirror but just below the dots.

I know it can be done, I just have to put some thought into it. And also, I don't know how to weld

you really can't drop the V1 any lower. mine is about 1/2 a cm above the mirror, giving 3/4 of the face of the v1 a clear view of the road ahead.

i think the is the best mounting option. you can't see it from outside the car easily, and it stays in place.

What I described is definitely possible. Back when mine would suction to the dots, I could have 100% of the detector below the dots with room to spare above for the suction piece.

There's always room for improvement

i don't deny its feasibility, i just don't know how much lower you can drop it in that position.

i'd be worth buying some plastic, cutting them to size, sanding them smooth and giving it a go.
