at that price, its a great alternative for the factory 3rd brake setup for all wingless deck lids

You re-invigorated my idea. I have wanted to do this since I lost my 3rd light. I just never was hassled for it by the cops so I lost all motivation. When I found out that Kris was held partially liable for him being rear-ended due to no 3rd light, things changed.

Ok, got it 95% installed today. The only thing not done is securing the light in place. It is completely wired.

The light:

Sanded and taped, awaiting flat black paint:

It looks really great! I was actually almost held liable when being rearended for not having that light, so I know once the wing is gone I will need a light like this.
The only difference is I am gonna have 17 holes in my trunk lid haha.

I'm hoping that the hook side of velcro will work.

I picked up some velcro today and it worked perfectly. I lined the entire bottom of the strip with the "hook" side of the velcro. The deck works perfectly as the "loop" side, but it does show where you've stuck the velcro, so try and only position it once.

It really doesn't stick out too much. Far less than the Subaru version:

Do you think the LED is bright enough? That was my only concern.
