the one that is in the hub is the hard one.

it isn't recommended to do this in a driveway, at least that's what I heard from my subaru tech friend who has done more work than anyone I know.

but ultimately it is up to you.

the front trailing arm bushing still requires atleast a 5 ton press. it's a bushing in a steel sleeve that you have to press in. check my journal.

i'm in the process of machining a bushing puller/pusher similar to bigsky's tool for the rear trail arm bushing in the hub

Well, I had my ACT Sprung 6-Puck with HD Pressure Plate and Sprung 6-Puck installed today by P&L.

It is actually not that hard to drive. I'll update after more seat time.

During the install the tech noticed I have a nice 3/4" long crack in my VF39.

$500, More than I would have liked. I was quoted "about $360".

One of the bolts on the bell housing was cross threaded and took the tech what seemed like and hour to remove. It became a 5.5 hour job instead of a 4-4.5 hour job.

Add in $50 for some AMSoil 75w90 SVG and it cost too damn much. This is why I like to do things myself.

Wanna sell me your VF43?

I've been thinking of maybe a used VF43 (matt') or VF48.

What do you guys think of that vs. a bigger turbo like the P&L 30r kit?

I'd prolly still throw some bigger injectors and a fuel pump in while I am at it. Maybe even meth... who knows. Maybe a x-pipe and P&P stock headers.

Any other suggestions for a budget upgrade?

i think that if your a track whore....like myself a 30r is perfect....but if you already have all the stuff for stock location turbos.....go 20g or dominator or gt52.....

ben, i'll sell you my vf43 no problem when i recieve my gt52.....

personally, knowing you i'd suggest getting my vf43, adding a aquamist HSF-5 water injection, and a gruppe-s un-equal lengh header, and a walbro fuel pump....although the meth injection is expensive it offsets the cost of race gas and the extra tuning costs....
