this all assuming you're perfectly corner weighted to USDM STI's factory distribution right?

I spent a lot of time on my car yesterday. While trying to track down some noise in the rear suspension, I think I found it. THe CO adjusters were coming in contact with the X-Brace tops. I had to dremel the X-Brace's top while installed in the car to stop this.

Luckily, I have every attachment for the thing and used the extender for extra maneuverability. I doubt I reduced the strength too much, but it had to be done. I only looked at the adjuster while the CO hanging loose, when you connect the CO to the hub, it gains angle and gains even more during bump.

She still adjusts fine, so hopefully there is no damage to the CO. Stupid oversight on my part.

Live and learn.

Plus, I managed to snap 2 rear wheel studs. I have some ARP ones on the way, which I hear will be no fun to install. I can't wait.

I installed some ARP Wheel Studs after breaking a couple of the stockers in the rear. Install was not as bad as I thought it was going to be. The caliper came right off, as did the rotors. I am sure it helped that I PB Blasted the bolts the day before and an hour before working on them.

Not only do I like that I can drive my car again, I think they look nice and aggressive:

What lugs did you finally go with?

They're the Muteki Forged Lug Nuts (open end)

Nothing special. I'm not that bling, though I do have a new set in black coming. I beat up a few pulling the studs through, so for $40ish I'd rather have new, clean ones. The current ones can be backups.

They look like they need a special socket?

Yeah, they come with an adapter that fits a 19mm - 3/4" socket. It'll be nice having 2 now.

I wouldn't suggest Muteki lugs.

the keys are very fragile and I have seen the ends of them bend from being dropped.

if you're going to stick with Muteki make sure to order a spare key.

did you have to take apart the hub? or did you slide them through the ABS Sensor hole like brianGT did?

slid them through. in the manual, it looked like seals needed to be repalced if you take the hub apart, and i was unwilling to do that.

besides, brian said that even with the bit of dremeling, the studs hold fine, so i am not too worried. there is still a few mm of metal that is 1/4"+ thick that would have to deform to pull the stud through.
