| Halliburton Mercenary | FWIW- To run the TiC SSTs (or any other op adjustable CO) in the rear with an x-brace you'll need to cut a bit of the X-Brace's top away. This is even more necessary with the Vorshlag plates. Unfortunately, the X-Brace top makes it so you can only adjust the plates when they are off the car. I set mine in the center and that worked out just fine. I guess that's the price you pay for stiffness. It'd be nice if CarLabs made a compatible top. This ad is not endorsed by this member. | Halliburton Mercenary | Interesting thing happened yesterday. I get in the car for my morning commute and my car struggles a bit to start. I mentally note it and have an uneventful drive to work. I go out for lunch and it similarly struggles to start again. On the way back to work she turns right over. When 5:00 rolled around I was a bit apprehensive about her starting. First try: NOTHING. I try one more time for the hell of it and she starts after a 1/4 turn. At this point I either go buy a new battery or call in sick tomorrow. I picked up a new battery at the local Sears, swap'd it out in the parking lot, gave them my old battery and I was on my way. I am pretty sure this will fix the problem, as there was never a battery light lit in the cluster. My understanding is that means the alternator is bad. Either way, I made a bit over 3 years/48,000 miles on that battery, which I do not think is bad. Last edited by fullerton; 07-22-2008 at 07:42 AM. |
