Actually, it makes sense. That way he could have a straighter intake tract that doesn't go over the hot ass engine, the only thing is, he would have to redo the dp and get the flange on the rotated uppipe to match the turbo...

So, in addition to the master cylinder brace I installed, Snorky came over and we used his tool to remove the lower trailing arm bushings and replace them with a poly set from SuperPro.

The swap went pretty well, with the first one taking about twice as long as the other.

For about 10 minutes we attempted to remove the long bolt through the knuckle so we could put on my whiteline lateral links. That bolt has rusted itself in there. After removing the nut, the bolt would still not turn.

We gave up, leaving them for another day or person.

Plus, since I am saving some cash, I can happily run 100 octane regularly.

So, here's what I am getting, let me know what you guys think:
VF48- Great choice on turbo....thiers nothing more reliable than a Vf series turbo....
Samco Inlet- perfect! i seriously dont know why more people dont use it!
Samco AftaMaf- Yep....if you run the samco inlet, and aps 70mm you need this to connect them...
DW 850 Injectors- For a stock series "sized" turbo i dont know if you need that big of injectors...
Fuel Pump-not really necassary, however since its cheap it wouldnt hurt....
TGVs (worth the hassle?)- If your installing any type of aftermarket inlet pipe your going to have to remove the manifold unless you have 07.....so even though it sometime cause poor starting in the winter....it may be worth it
3mm phenolic spacers- Great!
Race Pipe/Mid Pipe (Get rid of my catted mid pipe)-get rid of them stupid cats...
engine pulley (worth it?)-not worth it or proven unless its the ar fab engine damper.......
screw clamps on all connections- not screw....t-bolt
Jorge tune-great!

I already have P&P'd headers and a x-pipe. UP- After doing a cost analysis, you should sell your headers and x-pipe.....and buy a header....pm me if you want more details...

Thanks Matt.

I like the P&P stock header idea. I think it will perform quite well.

i thought the cold start thing with TGVs was a myth... Japanese cars experience cold, too.

I spoke with clint from TiC and he said he simply cut the bolt ends off, punched it out and used a fresh one. Wanna order 4 and we'll do it some weekend at your place?

Well... maybe you can do yours on your own and we'll figure out when to do mine. I may be a dad in two weeks and I am definitely not going hours away from Jennifer if I am not.

So, after a bit of daily driving with the Cusco Master Cylinder Brace and SuperPro Rear Trailing Arm Bushings, I have decided that they both make their systems faster and more direct.

The MCB gets rid of the softness at the last 20% of the brake pedal's path. You can feel a difference on the street when coming to slightly hard stops. This will probably be very noticeable at the track.

The LTABs seem to remove some lag I experienced when telling the car to turn. It just feels a bit tighter I guess. More immediate. I think they're worth the install time and few bucks. I can't wait to throw new lateral links on with their stiff bushings.

so...

jorge just talked me out of "going big" on my VF48.

I'm thinking (thanks to him):
VF48
1000cc Injectors (thinking ahead to 30r)
Fuel Pump

I already have headers & an x-pipe, so that'll go on. I might get a turbo inlet... matters what condition mine is in.

What kind of race shop talks you out of spending money? !
