Nan doesn't like to work on his car as it is. Why would he want to buy a car that requires constant maintenance?

I'm thinking Toyota Camry... in black... just to eek out a little masculinity from an otherwise effeminate car.

I don't do that anymore. Getting grease off your big toes is just an added annoyance after a hard day of wrenching.

I got the Q-Rack in this weekend with a lot of help from Snorky and even a little Evo help (Lyle).

Took 9 long hours, but mostly because we had to run to the store 4 times to get little things.

Everything went fairly smoothly, no ultimately frozen bolts or broken parts.

I did not take any picts during the install, but it is very straightforward and should be a 4-6 hour install if you are good or have done it once before. I'll make a how-to thread for those that can work without picts.

We thought we were done around the 7-hour mark and attempted to take the cat for a spin. Turned out we had so much negative toe that the car was jumping left to right as each tire tried to fight for traction.

After the full installation (and the subsequent Snorky alignment) we took her for a spin. I must say that this 11.5:1 Q-Rack makes quite a difference! When I tell my car to turn, she does it without hesitation. A quick 15° wheel flick makes you jump from one side of the road to the other, leaving behind a trail of rubber. Everyone on that block is going to think a drunk was driving last night with all the swerve marks.

The car is still stable at speed. On my drive home, it was pouring out and I was on an unlit highway. I felt comfortable the entire time. Sure, it only takes a 2° turn of the wheel for a gentile lane change, but I never found myself unable to stay in a lane or drive in a straight line.

I'll update after I do my daily commute I know so well.
