Trying to decide between getting the Stoptech-Centric Street Only Pads and some track only pad or the HP+ for everything.

I am not sure how the stoptechs perform, and I don't think it's worth saving a few bucks if the pads fail to stop me to avoid an accident. It would be nice to have track only pads, though.

I want to hear more about the stoptechs before I make a decision.

Really you will want 2 sets of pads, one for the track, and one for the street (if you track a lot). I'm a BIG fun of pagid blues for track pads and the HPS for street pads.

Some people run the DS2500 all the time, but i think the weight of the car will make the hp+ overheat.

you're saying that the HP+ are not enough for the track?

I've been there and done that... I used to have HPS and swap to PFC 01 full race pads. Its not bad, swapping pads is easy and fast, I did it at events sometimes. However, bedding in and re swapping, etc etc gets old... rotors cant enjoy it either.

I now run the HP+ I like it better for autox, they squeel quite a bit around town though. I am sure they will perform well at mid-ohio when I get there a few times this season. Not as good as the full race pads.... but shouldnt be bad. If you run in shorter sessions it will be coool (like 20-25min) and depending on track and the way you drive.

it might, but then again you could easily over heat them and if they glaze over, then you need a new set of pads anyway. Talk to wrxbrakes (vendor) and he'll give you the skinny on pads and what not.

Just got back from alignment. Here are my specs:

Left Front:
Camber: -2.6
Caster: 4.1
Toe: .02
SAI: 15.3

Right Front:
Camber: -2.6
Caster: 4.0
Toe: -.03
SAI: 16

Total Front:
Cross Camber: 0
Cross Caster: .01
Total Toe: -.01

Left Rear:
Camber: -1.3
Toe: -.07

Right Rear:
Camber: -1.4
Toe: .1

Total Rear:
Total Toe: .17
Thrust Angle: -.01

What do you all think?

Toe is bad out back, that's for sure. In two weeks I'll get that fixed.
