I like that dead pedal. And can you post a rear shot of your exhaust, your pic of the top of the twin tips almost makes me wish I got a twin-tip exhaust.

I painted it with VHT spray-dye. Several people have done it and you should be able to find some posts on it. Basically, there are two t-30 screws on either side of the steering wheel that must be loosened. Then the airbag module falls forward and there is one connector and a ground. Remove, clean up (I washed with dish soap), tape off the areas you don't want to spray, and apply thin coats until you achieve the desired shade. It's probably a good idea to disconnect your neg battery terminal before getting started.

I can elaborate if people have questions. I've been spray painting since I was 10, so it was pretty easy for me.

Sure, I need to get it cleaned up - it hasn't been washed in a couple weeks ; )

Well if you still have your leg up, and still on drugs, then lets wait till you can clean it and takes some pics.
But if you are out of drugs but still with the leg up, get cracking....we want pics.

Hey ST, how does the Bosal twinpipe sound? There are so many exhausts out there that it's quite dizzying. How does it compare to the stock muffler?

In terms of loudness on a scale of 1-10 compared to stock.
Also, the main thing I'm looking for in an exhaust is a deep, basy grumble, but that doesn't drone and it's too terribly loud. Does the Bosal fit this bill?

Thanks and sweet looking ride!

Thanks. I don't think this is the exhaust for you. I would say it is a 9 or 10 on the loudness scale. Very deep rumble, but it does vibrate some on deceleration.

There are some clips floating around of it on a WRX and it is very loud even on the 2L.

I'd check out the Blitz Nur Spec Touring or the Greddy Evo2 if I were you. Those have a nice tone, but aren't too loud.

I got kind of tired of having a super loud exhaust, and driving 50 miles a day so I picked up a Blitz Nur Spec Touring. I also modified the rear lights to use the inside round piece and outer slash as many have done. Here are some pics...

...and a shot to capture the always elusive details of a gloss black wheel ; )

I also recently installed the SPT intake/heatshield and the other SPT bits, but the engine bay shots looked like crapola. I'll take some when I have some time.

The Nur Spec Touring is awesome. It is pretty much exactly what I want. It is very subtle around the neighborhood, and even on the highway. But it screams when you get on it and really drive the thing between 4500-7000RPM : ) The combo with the spt intake sounds pretty sick.

I haven't done any logging with the intake (friend has my OBD-II cable) but the car seems to perform much better up top and in terms of throttle/boost response. A visual/defi logged run through some of the gears seem to support faster spool. I'm sure the sound isn't for everyone, but I think it is absolutely awesome.

There are about 44k miles on the car now and I still look forward to driving it every day. In fact, some days that is one of the few things I look forward to period ; ) The great thing about where I live, and driving 25 miles to work, is that I have the option of 4 very different routes. I can put together all back roads, or all highway, but it is usually a mix of the two. The thing is so fast, it rarely takes me longer than 35minutes, and if there is no traffic, it can be as quick as 26mins : )

Anyway, that's all for now...

Default Protec Products...

These are the pads I use on my jack and jack stands. I've recommended them in other threads, but I figured I would snap a couple of pics.
