I took delivery of my white/gold STi in Florida. I picked the car up from Jacksonville and drove it home to Tampa on Friday. I could be any happier or more impressed with the car even after owning a 2002 Stage II WRX.

I spent the weekend waxing, debadging the Subaru lettering off the back and replaced the front emblem with the pink New Age Impreza badge. I also polished up my Prodrive rear section that I kept from my Stage II WRX and bolted it up to the STi. I'm waiting for my Canadian market STi floor mats to arrive from Canada. It's also time to start thinking about an inexpensive audio solution.

The Prodrive muffler sounds really mild compared to what it sounded like on my catless Stage II WRX. It really doesn't seem to be much louder at all but it really brings out a wonderfuly tuned boxer rumble. I also think that it looks much better than the OEM STi muffler as the can isn't as big and doesn't hang down. I would highly recommend this to anyone to bring out the wonderful boxer rumble without being annoying or attention getting.

I'm holding off on the downpipe until I figure out a good solution to deal with the boost creeping issues. It seems that porting the wastgate outlet and/or waiting for engine management to be available is the ticket. I really don't want to go with a FCD and/or MBC.

Hey, congratulations on the new ride. I have a white / silver and I am here in the Tampa Bay area, Clearwater actually. Got mine from Mastro in Tampa and could not be happier. I have only seen 2 other STi on the road around here, both of them black. Thought I was the only white one around. Good color choice! Hope to see you around town.

Default South Bay Meet?

The camera is a OLYMPUS OPTICAL C4100Z,C4000Z(I forget). These pictures really don't do the camera justice as the lighting wasn't very good. Most of the pictures in my gallery have been taken with my old 2MP Kodak the Olympus is a fairly new toy. Here are a couple of better pictures taken with the new camera:

Oh, and look what I spotted on that trip to Poland:

The RSX is not a Type-S in the background but a little base model RSX. It's my wife little Honda cocoon.

Here are some pictures of my previous WRX:

By the plates I can tell you took that picture in Warsaw. STIs are very expensive, about $50,000, and rare in Poland. Also, there's a 50% chance that it will get stolen.

Yes, it was in Warsaw. I think 50% is bit conservative.

If I recall correctly it was in Krakov and it was part of the Waffle. Yes, we spent about half of the day checking out the various parts of the Waffle. We vistied Warsaw, Ponzan, Krakov, and Zakopane. We've been all over Europe and Poland was one of the nicest places we have had the pleasure of visiting.

I work with a girl who's a med student in Poland and she says that you can't have a nice car there because it will be stollen in no time- kind of makes one appreciate living in the good old USA.

Very common practice among thieves is after they steal your car they call you and try to sell the car back to you. If you don't want it it ends up somewhere in Russia or middle East.

Naked rear end looks nice to me. I would probably take the other two "badges" off the rear, and the stickers off the front.
How did you take them off without damaging the paint? Easy?

Nice car.

Yes, it's easy. I used some 3M adhiesive remover and dental floss to "floss" off the lettering after a bit of the 3M stuff to loosen them up. Next, I used a terry cloth towl with some 3M and rubbed the remainder of the adhieive off. Finally I used a 3 step waxing product (cleaner, polish, wax). I like the rest of the badging I just wish that the "WRX Impreza" badge was red backed.

I finished up installing a nice and simple stereo setup today: Eclipse CD/MP3 player and a pair of 6-1/2" PolkAudio components. I'll add some Polk 6-1/4" coax for rear fill sometime in the future. It could use a little more power for the speakers but I'm not installing any bs car audio in this car. Oh, and my Canadian market STi floor mats arrives the other day.
