got smacked in the rear this morning cause it snowed lightly and women in their suv's can't drive.
it was only like 20 mph and the car in front of me didn't know how to drive downhill in it either, so i had to gently slow down and i was completely fine till she came too fast, nailed her brakes and hit me.
i spun around and almost went into a ditch thank god that would have been the end of my front lip.

only damage is my rear license plate (where she hit) and above that the bumper is cracked and scratched.
still going to get a new one, but it still pisses me off and even if i had the other car it would have been a brand new toyota tacoma with a dealer plate on it.

for better news, my springs came today! damn racecomp is fast, what did i do order them monday.
tomorrow my group n top hats come, so sunday i'll slap it all in!

but yea the damage isn't THAT bad at all, it's just annoying to have something like that happen and then have to go through the bs to get a new bumper.
and i'm thankful i didn't go into a ditch and a car wasn't coming the other way or my car would be out of commission.

Good to hear about the springs, everyone raves about them......sucks about getting hit, at least the damage is minimal.

s techs are for show purposes only, if you read they lower the car too much and diminish handling characteristics.

spring rates are 20% stiffer than jdm pinks i believe, RCE does not quote the spec. numbers....these springs are for handling/track.
lowers about 1" front and .8" rear.

on another note, i FINALLY searched for the p0457 CEL i have had since august
turns out it was the little blue t to the left of the alternator...one of the hoses was popped off lol...probably didn't see it when i pulled and put the manifold back on.
top hats came today, they look purdy.

wow good thing the damage isn't bad, i'd try to get a rear diffuser out of it or something

like everyone else said, you're going to really like the rce springs, they feel great and i think your car is going to look sick with the drop + 18 inch wheels

i installed my RCE's tonight with group-n hardened top hats.
the install process wasn't bad at all, i did lowering springs on a scion tc before and the sti is way easier...the rears were a piece of cake.

for anyone who didn't know, i use to have tanabe gf210 on normal hats...well they were rusted out, the coating was falling off and i just about had it with how they felt.
boy is the car different now...i am sure everyone has read everyboy's review on these springs so there isn't much to say.
there definately is a really nice difference and i'm glad i coupled them with the hardened top hats, everything just seems to precise now when turning etc...it just feels awesome.
a few pics but none of the car on the ground i'll get some later.
