Nice, I've probably seen you around at one time or another. I know there is a white 2005 up there and an OBP one but I'm not sure of the year.

Well I took her to the track for the first time and while it was hella fun, my numbers weren't anything spectacular. I had never been to the track before with any of my cars, so the whole experience was new and exciting. I met a few fellow iwsti.com posters there which was cool - was like family or something! Anyhow - here is my best 1/4 time even though it was my worst reaction time of them all. I only got to run 3 times. The first 2 I had someone with me so they were both above 14.6. Elevation at Bristol Dragway is 1475 ft. above sea level.

It was nice to meet you guys - gonna be some fun times with the STi; I can tell that already.

Some Simple Green made all the difference - I also picked up some of those micro fiber towels and they work wonders on getting bugs off of the windshield!

Thanks for all the kind words folks - iwsti is much more family/team oriented than any Honda board I was a member(or a moderator for that matter) of. I guess its the age/maturity level that most of the time is demanded when dealing with a $33k car is just shining through.

How does that w7 sound in the car. I mean does it rattle alot if you stand outside of the car. I was thinking about getting either a w6 v2 or an w7. But I still dont know yet. Thanks

Cool

It sounds pretty nice since I have it tuned correctly again. It does a lot of good having a tuneble amp like the JL slash series amps. I looked up the transfer function of the STI as measured on a 2005 with an identical interior configuration and set my amp around that - really made a difference. It shakes a lot around the liscense plate but I kept my temp tag on underneath my real one and that helped immensely. The W7 moves so much air that its hard not to rattle the hell out of everything without deadening the trunk and select interior pieces. There are a few places around the bumper but not *in* the bumper that I havent isolated yet that shake some but would be easy to address with some deadening. The W7 is an amazing speaker no doubt but you'll pay for it. It is often referred to as "the sub JL made because... well just because they could". The W6v2 is said to be very close but not the same. I listened to a well tuned 8W7 on a 200w amp and it nearly shook my balls off(3rd order bandpass in a hatchback of course) but 200w is rather conservative as far as powering a sub of this calibur. If I had to do it over again - would have bought a 13W7! All the people I talked out of getting 2 cheap ass RF DVC12's thank me too

I Installed some USDM OEM fog lights and I am very pleased with them so far. They really put a lot more light on the road between the front of the car and the bottom cutoff of the HIDs. I got it cleaned up this afternoon and took some pictures in front of some good ole TN countryside.

I also had my HVAC, window controls, and HID/IC switch turned red. Ardinos did a great job since I wasn't 100% sure I could do this mod correctly myself. If anyone is on the fence about having this done - do it! Ardinos did good work and kept great communication through the whole thing - money well spent (now I just gotta get my fog light switch done!).

PS, sorry for the delay - as soon as I edited the title of the thread to reflect today's update, Photobucket went down.
