Looks good man. I have a e.l. header too, and Im in the market for a quieter cat-back as well. I like the look of your Greddy. Is it full 3 inch? A sound clip would be awesome.

It is a full 3". The welds are beautiful - look like a stack of nickels! I need to fix my exhaust leak (header related) one way or another and I will get some clips after.

I received my TiTek UP today. It's really a great looking piece. Clean welds, great flange to pipe transitions, and its really shiney. It also has been elected as the most well packaged item that I have ever received. It seems to be a very simple install, just time consuming according to the people I've talked to. As always, I'm sure I'll update once I get it installed or something. For now - some pics:

Oh yeah... If any of you get one of these, don't get new gaskets or studs because it comes with them...

I installed my up pipe today. Contrary to all of the information I found on the installation, it wasn't all that bad. Just like everything else it just took a little time. Nothing was brain throbbingly hard at all. I can hear a huge difference in sound and I like it! More turbo spool noses... mmmm. The TiTek piece has a larger inner diameter by far than the stock piece and should make a small difference in overall output.

Flange comparison

Side by side

My feelings about the stock up pipe

And now for the thing that took the longest time of all... In their infinite knowledge, TiTek decided to weld a M12 x 1.25 bung on the up pipe for those with EGT sensors. This is all fine and dandy, but if they are going to sell them to STi owners as well as WRX owners, they need to include some sort of plug since the STi does not have an EGT probe in that location like the WRX does. I drove all over town for literally 90 minutes trying to find something to plug it up with. After exhausting all but 1 option, I finally went to O'Rielly Auto Parts. They had a bolt luckily that fit the hole so I picked it up. I threaded it as far as I could with some red Locktite on the threads and let that be it. It doesn't touch anything in the engine bay and so far it is not leaking - only time will tell. TiTek should include a $.79 plug for the STi folks who purchase their up pipe. Here's a pic of my solution. Ugly I know, but it should solve the problem.

And finally, an installed picture. Thigs are tight around this area, but it fit just right - no complaints there.

Well, after all that gooey goodness, I discovered something not so good. My pitch mount has snapped at one time or another. This isn't that hard of a thing to replace, but I'm sure you guys know just as well as I do that the stock TMIC is no fun to take off and put back on. Wonder how hard it would be to have this replaced under warranty?

I finally got my brake pads on Friday, 3/30/07. After watching the HSPN video series on brake maintenance I knew installing them was no task that I couldn't tackle on my own. The stock pads were stuck in the caliper pretty snug so I had to coerce them out with a pry bar at first, but once they broke free, they slid out pretty easily. It's a good thing I ordered new pads when I did... my stock ones were almost down to the backing plates in the front. Here are a few comparison and installed shots of my Project Mu pads.

I bedded them in using Stoptech's procedure and they feel great. for Project Mu NS pads!

Brake pads look great. How much did they run you if you don't mind me asking. How do you feel about the up pipe now that you have had it on for a while? Great modding.

I got a good deal on the pads and I'm not so sure I should broadcast the price. I will tell you to contact Jonathan @ WorldOne and tell him that John Walker sent you - he should hook you up nicely. I like the up pipe a lot actually. I no longer have any annoying exhaust leaks and I hear a lot of extra turbo noise - thats never a bad thing!

You can contact Jonathan via AIM using screen name "Worldonejonathan" or simply call them at 206.938.7974.

Why did you chose the lowest level Mu pad?

you don't track your car with those hopefully.

<--owner of two sets of Mu Pads j/ curious why you chose the NS.

They were inexpensive, plus I trust who I bought them from. Based on his recommendations and my reading, the NS pads are just fine for my use (street).

not saying they are bad.

I personally run the B-Force pads on the street.

were the NS's an upgrade from the stock Brembo pads?

Yes, they are an upgrade. They have higher friction rates and higher heat resistances than the stock pads. They also don't dust as much. They feel good to me so far - only time will tell how satisfied with them I will end up being. I would like to upgrade my lines and fluid when funds allow as well.
