Finally, after being so busy the last few weeks I got her washed up today. Felt good having it clean again, thats for sure. Here are some shots of my Carbon-Ti. Rather sexy if I do say so myself!

Finally got my Varis CF heat shield! It's a beauty and I'll be putting it on as soon as I get the bumper nice and clean. For now, here's a couple shots. I love that you can tell it's hand made. I have a huge appreciation for laying CF and fiberglass now that I've done a little myself.

Ok gents, I got the heat shield on today. I didn't have to trim much really, the part that was messing with fitment was the inner-most exhaust exit trim. So, I just trimmed that a little and it fit great, the plus side - if I ever wanted to take this off, besides the rivets, one probably wouldn't notice the trimming anyways. On to pics:

that looks great, was your bumper actually getting black from your exhaust or did you want this mod just for the looks of it?

It was getting discolored a little bit, I had to compound the bumper to get it cleaned up before I started putting the shield on.

$109.75 shipped to my door. The 2 month wait sucked though

Ok so I finally got around to finishing off my subwoofer enclosure... I think I worked on it too much and wore myself out on it; plus, I totally dreaded taking it back out and unmounting the amp board I put up. Overall, I am pleased with the outcome. Sound quality is there, and it looks very nice. The carpet cost me a whopping $6 from a local shop and I was able to cover the box AND my amp board with 1 sq. yard worth of carpet. Tip: use the expensive 3M glue for this, you'll thank yourself. Here are some shots - they're not the best but it was like 30 degrees and raining outside.. sue me!

I wish I could hide the speaker wire but I pulled a moron and only got 5' worth of wire. The install is pretty clean, the carpet helps the crevices line up a lot better and look more secure. I am using the hard side of some industrial Velcro on the surfaces that mate to the trunk lining and I have a strap around the outside. I ended up snaking the strap behind the trunk lining and out the jack compartment door. Sure, it could be hidden more.. but seriously, I don't care! Let me know what you guys think!

Well, I just confirmed my appointment for a Ecutek tune with Doug at Topspeed on Tuesday, January 10th and I can't wait! I will let you know what the results are, hopefully have some dyno plots, pictures, and video.

Oh, and another noteworthy mod -

I think it's great! When people see it and they don't know what it is, they're like, cool it's a little hand. When people see it and they DO know what it is, they're like awesome - I've gotta get one! Anyhow... This bad boy set me back $1.25, oooh yeah.

Flame on.
