Well, I should have said mostly closed... It's a 4 lane road with no traffic. I saw 2 cars on the other side of the road (3 lanes away) during the 5 minutes I was there, but that was about it.

As for the cops...let's just say I don't drive like that when I'm anywhere near a cop.

I would like to know that too. Ben, are you using the AccessTuner or the default Cobb maps? The flames are because of cattless exhaust...?

beautiful car, ben......
'

we have very similar tastes, and like you, i will be building the optimum stock blower (for my 2006) sti i can conceive.

i do have to say, i like the flame off's between gears, but truth be told, they are not a sign of anything cbut a poor (or inadequate) tune. get the fueling corrected and you'll likely have a stronger car (and unfortunately for wow factor) less flames...

sounds and looks the part, indeed.....

id like to chat w/ you sometime soon about your progress and maybe you can help me to map mine out a bit more too...

Thanks ese . The car isn't tuned right now, it's just the regular 91 octane stage 2 map by cobb (version 1.04 or 1.05 I think). I may play around with the street tuner or just go get my AP protuned. Both the stock ECU and the regular stage 2 map from cobb run pretty rich. Looks cool though! hehe

One of the runs there was 1st through 6th gear, aprox 0 to 130 MPH. This is on a closed course so don't go doing this stuff on public roads!
Ben that sounded awesome. Where did you get a camera like that?

The particular camera I used is called the chasecam, you can get them at www.chasecam.com I think. Any bullet-style camera will work. You just need a really tiny and light camera with a suction cup mount. As long as you make sure to really clean the area before you put the suction cups on they won't damage the paint in any way .

That mount also works great if you want to record in-car video and you don't have a harness bar or something else to mount a camera to. Using the suction cups you can just mount it to the inside of your back window and turn the camera upside down (so it looks right side up).
