Hey guys, I got a FMIC today!

OK, OK, I'm just kidding, that's just my radiator...but it appears that something is missing in my engine bay...

What's missing you ask? Well, a box of junk:

AC condenser, compressor, and assorted parts: 22 lbs.

Here's what the AC actually looks like:

And a closeup of the compressor:

I had no idea that the condenser completely blocked the radiator. I always thought I was looking at the radiator through my grill until today . Pretty interesting.

DUDE!!!!!

ben, now the heater needs to go!!! lol!!

I'm glad you took out the A/C its not like you uses it anyway. If you take out the heater, you can then trash all the ducting on the inside of the dash, and the air filter and stuff like that!!! I'm sure that will be another 20-30 lbs!

It's NASA / SCCA / FIA approved. They only market it as NASA / SCCA approved, but after checking with some guys in Europe it meets the FIA requirements as well. A very similar cage comes in the Lotus Sport Exige Competition (Cup 240R) and it's FIA approved as well.

Either way, for it to be drag approved in the US it just needs to meet NASA / SCCA so you're fine. AutoPower almost exclusively does cages for the drag cars, it was kind of a shock to them when they saw my car. They're more of the "good old boys" American muscle / drag racing crowd, so when they saw some Japanese tin can roll up they had a strange look on their face. You would have enjoyed their expression when they asked me to pop the hood and were told it had a little 2.5 liter motor.
