I just like your style Kevin, what can I say If this kit is in fact rice, it will go nicely with your grapefruit launcher 4.5 inch exhaust tip haha. Gotta love the angry JDM bees (inside joke ).

I like the top of the spoiler, it's just the erector-set-looking supports that connect it to the trunk that I don't like.

ben love the car especially the harness and gauges ... i'd go for the kit ... i didnt like it at first either but this thing is nice with either the stock wing or syms ...either way GREAT JOB!!!! keep up the good work

Edit: on second thought go for the syms wing it would match nicely with the blk piece on the rear bumper of that kit

I think I'm going to go for it. My mechanic over at the dealership can get the kit painted by the same guys that paint the OEM hood scoops / side panels for them, so it will match the paint perfectly. That was my only concern . Now to find out what ungodly ammount it will cost to ship from Japan.

I think I know where to get the rear spoiler for a lot less than their spoiler is (its insanely expensive $1k+ if I recall correctly)

We'll see how the stock spoiler looks. I think it will look hot Either way, there are many nicer spoilers than the INGS+1...so forget that lol.

Great mods Ben! Can't wait to see the body kit go on. One of your first posts you said that you were going to go with AP Stage 2. Are you still going that route? You may have already mentioned this and I missed it, but if not, then I'm wondering at your logic for mods. Looks like your first priority is handling then a bump in power with a TBE and EM. Maybe you discussed this elsewhere but how did you settle on the Cobb catless TBE and AP Stage 2?

Yes, I'm definitely about handling first, power second. I'm also putting on some prototype lightweight rotors that drop 10 lbs a corner, stop better, and last longer than the brembo rotors. We just finished testing them at a track day yesterday and I'll have more information on them later. In summary, we've tried the lightweight floating hat Alcon rotors (drops 10 lbs front per corner/ 5lbs rear) and these new prototype rotors we had made by the brakeman stop as good if not better than the Alcons, will last longer, and brake just as well cold as they do hot! It's some very exciting news and we'll let you know when they go in to full production.

As for the TBE, I'm not exactly sure why I went catless. I have a cobb catted downpipe on my wagon, I just wanted something different. The plain fact of the matter is I won't pass smog if they do the sniffer on either car with or without the cat, and if they just do the ODB2 then the AP will trick them and I'll pass. So I guess it came down to what does the cat do for me that I would want to pay extra for? I would like it to be louder anyway, since I mostly drive it at the track, and the occasional fireball out the exhaust is ok by me . Having the ability to run the 110 octane leaded gas at the track wasn't even a factor, but is an interesting option to have. The only downside I could think of for going catless was possible boost creep. If that happens, I'll sell it and get a catted one or just take the DP out of my wagon. I could also port the wastegate if I felt like it.

The stage 2 should be more than enough for me, atleast for a little while. I went with the cobb TBE just because I have the stromung twin tip catback and cobb downpipe on my wagon and I like how it sounds. The cobb TBE is just a 3" stromung catback with their DP, so I figured I might as well get it, especially since the Stage 2 map was designed for it. I may have Dan over at Harmonmotive tune it for me with the AP Pro Tuner, although I don't know how much more power you will really get with just a TBE going from Stage 2 to Pro Tuner. It might be nice to get a 100 octane map made though .

The way I look at it is, there is more time to be made in the corners than on the straights on any of the tracks I go to, so the only reason to do some big turbo kit would be for blowing people off on the street. I really don't even want that temptation. It's hard enough trying not to race people on the streets with just the Stage 1 AP. With the TBE going on Tuesday and the stage 2 map, it will get even harder. I don't think I could keep myself from street racing if I had any more power.

Getting the body kit is well...unlike me. I'm all about performance and that body kit adds none whatsoever (and if anyone says something about downforce, well...MAYBE but that's it ). For some reason ever since I saw it I've wanted to get it, and then once I found out I could get it through Kevin and have it imported from Japan, I had to do it. It will just make the car very unique and I like doing things like that .

Thanks Ben, yeah I like corners better than long straights but unless I go to the track or to the mountains I'm out of luck (live in Florida). I've been getting my "corner fix" on sport motorcycles in the mountains of GA, NC, SC & TN for the couple of decades. Soon I'll be figuring out where I can get my STI into some corners too. Anyway, I look forward to more of your progress in this excellent thread. - Karl
