You know when you accidentally leave your door open and get on the highway? Imagine doing that to all 4 doors, and then you have what my car sounds like...all the time. The good news is all those stupid rattles in the dash are gone...

Ben

I have been following your set up. It looking very very nice and this is something that I'm looking to do for myself.

One question, does the full roll cage block the view to the side mirrors looking back?

I'm looking to get a full bolt-in roll cage just like yours and I still have to drive the on the street too. I was hoping that it wouldn't block the mirrors.

The visability is fine with the cage. I drove it around for about 3 weeks with the cage as a daily driver before I stripped it out and made it a dedicated track car. The cage will make it a pain to get in and out of your car though.

You're wrong. It's street legal and available in the US.

Default cf mirrors

Ben-

not sure how much weight these will save... have you ever seen them before, the look pretty trick. I might be getting a pair of these for my car. Unfortunetly you do lose the power mirror function if you put them on...

Thumbs up

I just read this whole thread post by post. I must say your car has come a long way from stock form. I appreciate it Ben that you keep up to par on what your race car is going through. Please continue to keep up informed as the car evolves.

Your car is going to be so nice and fast when it's done. Keep up the good work.

I am actually doing those! Great minds think alike right? I also ordered the front wind splitter (to compliment the downforce of the wing): http://www.aprperformance.com/prodde...tcategoryID=76

I am not really doing the mirrors for weight savings (although there is some), but more for reduction of drag.

It's a custom made fender, no company involved . We are going to make 4 or 5 more for those that wanted one.

It would probably work, just not as well (with the stock airbox). If you have an aftermarket intake it would probably be just fine though.
