Was the trunk just for style points? did you get a good deal. Everywhere I have seen it its anywhere from 5-700. carbon would be lighter no?

The car looks amazing Ben. I love that fender! I bet it really did open up some air/pressure for the intake. Your right, after the rims and decals that wing should look in place! Congrats and keep bringing the pics!

Ben I don't think your fender intake is responsible for the power you felt. I think it was the reduced weight. On a NA car increasing the pressure is good. On a turbo charged car you wouldn't even notice. It's always SUCKING at a much greater level than the air coming in at speed. Did you put any place for rain/water to drain out of the tube or how is that handled?

I noticed you have coilovers and each week you drop a decent amount of weight from different places in your car. After losing weight each time do you take it in for an alignment and get corner balanced again? If no, why not?

As long as it is still registered as a street car(the license plate) it's a rice car

I love this car. So do you think you might now have the fastest STi with stock engine?

Hey Ben,

Looks great! I can't wait to see the car in person. And of course, "hit-up" some more track events!

He is not even remotely close to being the fastest stock engine sti. Hes not even close to being the fastest on stock turbo. He has a long ways to go before he will be fastest stock turbo all boost. Especially with meth being all the craze recently.

A protune with some high octane or meth injection with amazing driving with good tire pressure should put him into contending with the fastest of stock turbo sti's(all boost). But just becuase one car makes xyz hp with xyz mods doesnt mean another similar car with xyz mods will make xyz hp.

Sorry for the jack, i wish you would have kept the car looking stock...but whatever floates your boat.

what the direct air feed does (as my fogpanel inlet does) is to offer fresh, COOLER air over the MAF, GREATLY reducing the airtemps it reads. it also allows those temps to immediately drop, after sitting in traffic (or the pit).

with lower MAF temps, there's a direct increase to be had (or rather a lack of decrease, at the very least)

ben-- loving whatcha got here.. can i get you an Esesport grille to pimp out???

^^does that mean that with a blow-through MAF setup, the intake temps make no difference?
