Good luck with the car, your plans sound simply awesome for it. I had my car tuned by Phil when I had my Hydra installed and have been VERY happy. I'll be doing a Superzilla using his interface to my Aquamist 2s system as soon as he comes out with it.

day 2

ricky got distracted all day with a brake job on a pos camaro. it was supposed to be a 3 hour tour...a 3 hour tour. he says he'll work on it later tonight but i wouldn't bet on it. in his defense, he worked on it pretty late last night as the day 2 pics will reflect (even if they are leftovers from day 1).

the big news - our high speed connection is up and the webcam should be operational in time for tomorrow's live "4:20 report" (edt). think wayne's world meets up in smoke. i'll post the link as soon as i have it.

the sti ss clutch line arrived.
ordered from local subaru dealer:
- a sti kevlar timing belt
- 2 (of 4) replacement tubular aluminum guides on the shortblock (for the heads, one on either side) that were damaged during shipping from crawford.

i'm getting pm's and posts from alot of area sti guys saying that theyre planning on making the trip to gardiner in the next week or so. how cool is that.

i'm 1 hour 20 minutes from the gwb near new paltz. keep watching this thread for news. i won't even try to predict how close to schedule we're going to be for the big finale. meanwhile, youre always welcome drop by - just give me a heads-up by pm first.

day 4 ...as the motor hangs

now we're getting someplace. the motor is out. the timing belt is removed and a new belt is on its way. i'm going to clean it until it glows before we remove the heads, take it off the hoist and get the crawford s4 up in it's place.

note:

- the frame rate is a little slow but we'll tweak it later.

- there is no cameraman. ricki will do his best to get whatever he's working on in the frame. (how good his best is remains to be seen).

- for the daily 4:20 report we will have audio. i have traffic court tomorrow and the report may have to go on without me. i'll try to get ricky's gf, pam, to replace me.

- if pam is there we'll do our best to talk her out of her clothes. it took all of 10 minutes to do it once i posted this link. we know at least 5 people were watching her put on her show.

- don't expect to see anyone in the shop much before noon edt or after 9 or 10pm edt. hey...it's little ricky.

Hey bruce, dumb question, but are you selling your short block?? There's some poor guy who is going to pay a subaru dealer 10K for a new engine installed, and all he did was spin a bearing.
