IWSTI Addict since: Apr 2005 Trader Rating: (5) | Is that guy holding the tank itself? That little gallon jug? You didn't want to go all out with the 12L Spec-C tank? Or maybe there wasn't any room for it in your trunk.... |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2003 Trader Rating: (1) | there is no room for a larger tank, limited. it will have to do for now. edwin's ears must have been ringing because i just got an update. i'll be back later to share it with you. i'm too pressed for time right now to elaborate. |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2003 Trader Rating: (1) | update: dogbox: they are reinstalling the tranny now and they are doing something very smart, which is no surprise. given that the kaps shifter is an unknown addition to an already complicated tranny rebuild, they are going to reinstall the kartboy/oem h-pattern shifter to make certain the tranny install is correct. they will then uninstall that shifter and install the kaps shifter in its place. the reasoning is, if something doesn't work after the kaps shifter is installed, they can effectively rule out that the tranny is the problem (since it worked with the oem shifter). hydramist: is almost finished. they ran into a fitment issue with the production element charge pipe (i have a prototype charge pipe on on there now). they will finish drilling and installing the n202 and hydramist nozzles after they consult with phil about the fitment issue with the production pipe. n202: the bottle is going in the trunk. all they need to do is run the lines to the engine bay. ricky installed the solenoid before this last odyssey. all the other issues are sorted out as far as we know. hydramist components in the trunk: ![]() mount hydramist status gauge: ![]() it won't be long now, folks! | S204 Racer | Bruce, fergoddsake get in that car and at least put a few "smile" miles on it before you track the thing - with, say, a really, really conservative tune of about 500whp. Ya know, just for yucks. |

i would post pics of the entire car but we're in the middle of the metamorphosis from wrb to a "neanderthal blackout" and it's not too photogenic from most angles just yet. Last edited by Neanderthal Racing; 10-04-2007 at 04:21 PM. | |

IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2003 Trader Rating: (1) | i dunno, fly, that 200 mile trip home should produce some smiles. just so everyone knows, i do 50-100 miles on an average day just putzing around and about 25k a year altogether. this semi-retirement szhit ain't bad. | S204 Racer | Good, the way this build was headed it was looking more like a trailer-only race car. I don't see it being much of a grocery hauler, but that back road we talked about a few years back is starting to sound better and better. Some poor bastard in a new 911 is going to make a biiig mistake. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
