hehe...thanks, sniper. i noticed that 5th star thurs or fri. i swear the thread had 5 stars last year (it also didn't have hits added for a 10 day stretch when the crawford motor first fired up). is there way way to lose stars; like if the thread gathers dust for a stretch?

a couple of my buddies are talking about converting their deisels to use frying oil which is way too labor intensive for me. i thought i might get another 500 gal home heating oil tank and stash it next to the storage container along my driveway. heating oil is down around 2.10 a gal.

update:

last night, kevin and i trailered cutn edg back to the shop from automasters in westchester, where we will continue the process of tidying up what has already been done (cage, etc.) prepping surfaces (hood, front bumper cover and trunk) for their neanderthal blackout, installing the blinder m20 laser jammer and the other "countermeasures" we have planned, setting up the nitrous and hydramist kits and dropping the motor back in when we finally get it back. it's great to have my daily driver back in my sight and under my control again. we have a lot to do to get ready for next season.

to tell you the truth, there is a lot that i am unhappy about with regard to the cam situation. if you ask me no questions, i will tell you no lies. i will leave it like that for now.

Nice Bruce.....can't wait for your beast to be converted to the blackout theme!! My car will have another brother! I still need to get a good radar detector and prob a laser jammer....I guess we will talk in person about the "countermeasures" . Had to ask: Any ETA of the engine coming back?

here is what you need to know - trust no one. I got defective cams from DPR that went back 3 times before i bagged them and now i have a defective cam from kelford that so far has cost me thousands and an entire season of racing and more bs than you can imagine. kelfords supplies cosworth with cams, so, by association, you cannot absolutely count on a correct set from cosworth, either. in all fairness to kelford, i have not heard a report from them on their inspection yet and that is not their fault. do you think i'm just a little frustrated?

so, take your chances. whatever you do, make sure you 'degree' the cams before you install the motor.

He'd never settle. Besides, would you really want to drive someone elses knowing you still can't drive yours? That would make me miss it even more.

that would go better on my new truck. nice segway, dude.

{{{breaking news}}}
my deisel blazer is here!! my buddy just towed it up from pa.
it started right up, sounds great and seems to be in terrific shape for a 20+year old truck. it needs a windshield (which we're installing tomorrow) and a few other things including some light body work but it's only got 46k on it. it could end up stealth black to match cutn edg when we're done.
we have some paperwork issues to work out.

i'll try to post some pics tomorrow.
