update:

i just had a series of back and forths with al and rob at automaster and jeremy at cobb. bottom line; the leakdown test did not go well.

jeremy wants the motor back to investigate further. automaster will be pulling the motor sometime next week and will ship it out to cobb in salt lake city. automaster will handle the reinstall when the motor returns.

i want to give special thanks to automaster for their efforts to date, which includes stepping into the middle of someone elses work. They have also made an extremely generous offer for all the labor at their end. with everything this project has been through i need all the help i can get and their support for the project will not go unrewarded.

does existing on the cutn edg ever get easier? probably not but some good luck wouldn't suck.

note: let's keep the wailing and gnashing of teeth and "oh no, not again"s at a minimum. i know you guys will be upset. stay upbeat, por favor.

I wasn't sure if you were going to post it or not after I spoke to you on phone. It really sucks

One postive so far is how Jeremy @ Cobb wants the engine so he can find out what happend, not like the "other" who denied anything could possibly be wrong with the engine immediately.

I miss teh CUTN EDG!

i miss it, too.

in fairness to the "other" company. they didn't deny anything "immediately" and were willing to look at it. that's when the fun began. in cobb's case, i know jeremy will properly assess and repair the motor, whether it is or is not "their" problem and it may not be their problem at all. just a heads-up, i'm not going to respond to any post that calls for speculation beyond what i've already said.

meanwhile, i'm trying to secure a car for the next couple months. you know how kids borrow the parents' car? (isfh)
