we swapped the protenzas back onto onto the rims. as nice as the blizzaks are, it's no contest.

meanwhile, ricky started on the break job and swap to fresh brembo slotteds, which i've had for 6 months (but weren't needed) and the recently acquired pagid yellows from myles. the rears still aren't cooked yet so i'll keep playing them out. we're also doing the gt spec fender braces. we're looking at a way to tie it in, at least indirectly, to the cage.

the plasma cutter has been shipped and could be here as early as tomorrow. i predict it will be impossible to keep little ricky from slicing and dicing something (anything) once it is here. he fondles himself and looks at the car every time the subject comes up. (one word...creepy). we're picking up the chromoly in the morning. the new tig welder will be here in 10 days.

update:

cage:
the plasma cutter is due in today. the chromoly, 1x3" pipe and steel plates will be delivered to the shop tomorrow. the tig welder will be schlepped here from rochester this weekend by a buddy who hooked up the great prices we're paying for the gear. the 1 5/8" die could be here as soon as the weekend but no later than the middle of next week.

motor: according to jeremy this morning, everything is coming along great but still not ready for assembly. the pistons still need to be coated. he promises some pictures later this week which i will post up when i get them. it looks like cobb is still a couple weeks out to ship. i'm expecting the turbo and manifold back from crucial racing in the next week or so.

so, it appears we'll have plenty of time to get the chassis squared away and the interior reinstalled before the motor arrives.

...as the flywheel turns.
