turbo update

i just had a back and forth with mike malin at blouch turbo, element tuning's garrett turbo supplier. the turbo is coming out today and wll be sent to their location in pa. they are estimating a 2 day turnaround time for the inspection and replacement of the rear oil seal. how cool is that.

i want to thank mike for a lightening fast response!

also: i just received my staticx grounding kit in blue. it looks great. i think robert's sold more kits than mcd's has sold hamburgers.

the turbo is out and on its way to blouch turbo for repair. i should have it back late next week. i miss my car already. i think i need the shoulder of a couple of those calender chicks in the other thread to cry on.

it's my party and i'll cry if i want to
cry if i want to
cry if i want to
you would cry too if it happened to you

i ran my plan for an a/f gauge for the center pod past phil and he told me not to bother. hydra is coming out with an optional display that can display any two functions used by hydra, including a/f ratio. so, i called ben and asked him to add a water temp to the list, instead. in case you guys don't know, ben discounts gauges for us and he gets them out really fast. (how's that for a blatant plug?)

for 50 bonus points and an all expense paid free trip to sema next year (courtesy of ben. thanks ben!!), who sang that song?

Hey Bruce,
As everyone on here, I've been watching your thread with alot of interest. You certainly peaked my interest with the news about the Hydra gauge interface! Any more details on that? I had actually thought about writting the software to do something along the lines of this, but Hydra has never released any API's for the Nemesis, so it would be time consuming. Anyway, I just wanted to find out any info you had on this
Take care,

Take care,
this is all i have from phil as a line in an e-mail:

"If your heart is set on an AFR gauge I would wait until we release the Hydra
display which will display any two items from your data logger."

i'll be asking more about it myself when i talk to him next but if you want to beat me to it, write him at sales@elementtuning.com .

don't look now but we have 30,000 hits on the cutn edg build thread. i might be wrong but i think it's the first thread to log that many on the site. i hope everyone has enjoyed it as much as i've enjoyed doing it. we're really only half way there. this spring is going to bring the next wave of mods. up until now the project has been all business; the year after we'll worry about dressing it up to look the part.

as a footnote; we never got to log maybe 5 or 6000 hits when the thread's hit counter broke during the first 10 days of our maiden start-up in september. he was kidding at the time but, as ben put it, all that acitivity broke it (isfh)

Please, PLEASE attend some Raceway Park events this year with this thing. It will be extremely gratifying to watch it pummel some unsuspecting Diamond Star folk.
