well if you don't have a cable throttle then you don't need to use the cable bracket on the manifold, I'm sure he had to mod it alittle but I'm just repeating exactly what he told me

update:

i left the house yesterday morning (fri) at 7:30 am and drove to new paltz to take a bus to the nyc port authority, an 8 block walk down to penn station and a ascela express train to union station in dc. i jumped on the metro train to shady grove where steve, phil's wrench and the guy who built the shortblock and assembled the motor, picked me up at the train station for the ride to the shop. after dropping off the check, i jumped in and drove it the 300 miles back to home to ny via pennsylvania.

i successfully dodged the local constabulary during daylight hours today and managed to (nerve)rack up another 60 miles or so.

tomorrow morning i'm driving to a dog training meeting and then to quakertown pa for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday party, then williamstown nj to see my dad and camp out until stupid early monday morning to drive it back to dc to drop it off at phil's so he can finish the tuning when he can get to it.

then, i'm acelaing it back to newark airport to catch a flight to phoenix at 5pm...(you following all this?) where i work until i catch a redeye back to newark fri morning. depending on whether phil is done with the car or not, i'm either headng north to home or south to get the car.

i have some cell phone picks phil shot but i can't put them up right now. i'll take some more tomorrow and post them up when i get to phoenix.

i had to replace the red top, which had been sitting way too long for the last couple years and wouldn't hold a charge.

that's it. the long road trip begins in 10 hours.
