NISSAN ANNOUNCES PRICE ADJUSTMENT ON THE 2009 GT-R
Nissan today announced an interim price adjustment on the 2009 Nissan GT-R due to increased raw materials costs. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Prices (MSRP)* of $76,840 for the GT-R and $79,090 for the GT-R Premium model are effective immediately. Destination & Handling (D&H) is $1,000. The adjusted prices do not apply to customer orders already in dealer hands prior to September 5. The initial GT-R pricing was established nearly a year ago.

if youve been paying attention, i'm paying 10k over msrp and accurately predicted that the msrp would go up right away and cancel the 10 over. i basically paid 3,160 over. i'm a fckn gizza.

i'm calling phil tomorrow for an update on cutn edg.
He was/is F*cking ripping up the track in NJ yesterday and today...NJ Motorsports Park . DUDE IS CRAZY!!!!

Not bad at all. But, you have to admit the GT2 is "baller" status.

The fact that a $235,400 GT2 is comparable to a $89,900 GT-R is just astounding.

Looking forward to news about cutn edg.

i should have said equal rather than spank. it spanks a zo6.

so what did they have? 2 seconds between them at the ring on different days with different drivers? one is 105,000. the other is 25k less.

i was originally speaking about the 1/4 mi. cobb is getting a 11.3/130 trap with nothing more than a tune; identical to the zr1.

Bruce, maybe someone has already asked this, but do you have any upgrade plans for the GTR? The new Cobb AP seems to be giving some pretty good gains as previously mentioned in your thread.

Either way Im anxious to hear your review when it does get delivered.

Cobb ran a 11.2 here @ PIR on a very slick track and hot day...

the AP would be the only way to go, IMO. Cobb has been tuning them for over 8 months now....

cutn edg update:

this just in from phil:

Bruce,

The motor is finished, it’s installed in the car, and the new GT65 uppipe and downpipe have been fitted and clearanced. The new turbo outlet IC pipes are done and we should be finished with a new adaptor pipe today (so the DP can mate to the exhaust). The rest is pretty much detail work, some bracket fabricating for the NX, and I still need to evaluate if we are going to use the TB IC pipe Andrewtech fitted for you.

I actually took pictures of the heads and porting but I’ve just been too busy to compress the size and email them to you. Everything came out great! I’m super happy with my setup so yours with the little bit more port work should be incredible. My power band is just so wide and useable it’s like cheating at time attack. LOL!

Check out this video of me at NJ Motorsports park. The motor absolutely barks out of the turns.

http://www.elementtuning.com/Videos/FormulaX%20Time%20Attack%20NJ%20Champs.wmv

Unless something odd comes up we should be done by next Friday.

there ya have it!

Yah I was there Bruce when Phil ran at the Redline Time Attack.....talk about balls to the wall.....he was freaking BOOKING through the entire track. To think your going to have the same setup plus a prob a lil more hp/tq with that tranny....wow, one can only imagine!

Oh, and to give you a taste of what Phil's car looked like at the Time Attack:

Phil from Element Tuning's car:

Bruce, with all that heat, I do suggest you do the gold foil wrapping or atleast have the pipes heat treated! Maybe try my idea of heat wrap with the gold foil.
