greetings from the north shore of the island of kauai, hawaii. i'm sitting here in a condo on a cliff overlooking the pacific. we just did a snorkling tour of the coast on a speedboat/raft. yesterday we did a 8mi hike up and down the mountains along the coast to a waterfall reminiscent of the bataan death march (you youngsters will want to wikipedia that (isfh).

that's it. don't feel sorry for me.

LOL! That's not happening any time soon. AMS did a best of 1:58 in their Time Attack EVO so really that's my bench mark.

Subaru showed me no love this weekend as my rear diff or possibly the center diff exploded while I was warming up trying to break the motor in the best I could. Somewhere between 150-160 on the back straight I locked the brakes up cresting the hill (I brake at the bottom of the hill as the track crests and veers to the left). I've never had the brakes fully lock up like that so I believe this was a sign of things to come. I suspect I was having some sort of DCCD/diff issue which usually disables ABS. It was either this lap or the next when something broke entering "nascar" and I pulled off in fear I was dumping oil. Lucky for me my warm up laps were good enough to take the fastest overall time and the win in TTU.

We'll drain the fluid from both the diff and the trans to see what needs to come apart first.

As for the heads the car felt extremely fast for only running 20 psi but I really wish I had the chance to run it at 30 psi for at least of couple of laps to see what the car had in it.

Thanks,
Phil

Apparently my posts are causing issues with vendors. I've made maybe three posts this year. LOL! Obviously I'm not welcome on IWSTi so if you have questions for me you know where to find me. Thank you to all those who support me and our products and I wish I could contribute more to IWSTi.

Thanks,
Phil

Yeah, I thought you only get snagged if you are selling parts? Just make up a different screen name then? That is pretty bs.

some of it i'm sure is the Link in the bottom of a few posts which is against the rules of forum.

it isn't so much selling stuff as it is advertising.

either way i'm sure Phil will do the right thing

keep up the good work guys.

I was asked once before on a post which was very informative about our GT65 bolt-on and it was a great post full of pictures, a dyno plot, and race results but I agreed it crossed the "marketing" line since I was not a vendor so the pictures were pulled and it was turned into a "lifeless" post. It was like listening to a race on the radio instead of watching it on TV. LOL!

Nothing I've posted recently is marketing driven but instead was just to remind a good customer we're on top of his project. If other vendors are threatened by this well then I guess I'm doing something right. LOL! Those who run IWSTi are not out to get me and I hold no grudge but like any enterprise it's driven by $.

Thanks,
Phil

any vendor who could take take exception to anything youve said here has his head so far up his holiest of holys he needs a flashlight and a crowbar to get it out. i won't bother guessing.

If you're talking about the north shore trail, I did that walk 35 years ago on one flip-flop...it's a long story.

It's all crystal clear now as Kevin discussed with me what I need to avoid. This honestly just boils down to how I end my posts with the link. It's been a habit now since 2001 and old habits are hard to break.

As soon as I can I'll get my car on the dyno to see what kind of improvements Bruce can expect for his project but we are moving forward with the valve job regardless.

Thanks,
Phil

the dealership around me is getting one in a week or sooner(he didn't say a date, but told me it was in a week) this is in northern california: Future Nissan, Roseville CA. I work at a gas station, so I asked him if he had one yet and that's what he told me
