30 (or so). i'm going to start raising the boost 1lb at a time to a max of about 22 or so until we get properly tuned. i meant to take a picture of the eddie marine/optima battery mount in the trunk but we ran out of light. i'll post it tomorrow. btw, it is broken in. just out of curiousity, what IS the anticipated quarter mile time? is it still 11 seconds?? I would think that with this set-up Bruce has would be able to get a high 10 (or am i just too hopeful? )if so, maybe 10 seconds be obtained with a ridicuously good 60 ft time and some other pure off-street equipment? (e.g. racing slicks, weight removal, etc?) What do you plan on using on the drag strip Bruce? Are you planning to race it modified exactly how you drive it on the streets? (e.g. street tires etc?)

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2005 Trader Rating: (0) | Bruce, I have just finshed building a setup similar to yours and had a few questions about tuning. Setup: 2004 STi Crawford R3 2.65L Sleeved Hydra ECU from Phil Ultimate racing rotated mount GT35R Tial 44mm wastegate Spearco TMIC Alkycontrol high volume methanol injection with 16 gallon talk and two 14 gph nozzles Worx Tuning BOV XX tuning Headers Ported Manifold TGV deletes and heavily ported housings Rebuilt head but not ported Stock cams Perrin Injectors Walbro Pump Koya capless Rad Motul FM oil cooler Two catch cans Areomotive Fuel Pressure regulator Spec stage 3 clutch Blitz EBC Optima Red Top Now for tuning it, I have had problems with it running lean at idel/low load sites becuase it requires alot more fuel than Phils base map for a 2.65L. This may be because of the Ported intake manifold and TGV housings (or it may mean I hava a problem somewhere.) What AFR are you using for a target to tune idle/vaccum load sites. Phil has told me that he usually targets 14.7 in most cars, but has to target in the 12 range on cars that have head porting. I don't have head porting, but significant porting before the heads which I'm thinking my account for some of my problems. Who much porting did you do the the TGV housings and did you port the outlet end of the intake manifold to match? thanks Jay |

Also, there is an event at Englishtown on October 1st and 2nd as well as a few more left for the season. Do you think you'll be attending any of those?
