Any specific comments about the flywheel? I’m wondering if maybe that and the crank pulley together might be a little much (?)

Did you do the pulley first? If so, how much difference did it make by itself. Seems like the flywheel would be the main contributor to increased throttle response.

Thanks!

No rubbing issues. Those were Volk Racing LE37s 17x8.5, 5x100. A very nice wheel and lightweight. I do not have the offset but if I had to take a guess, I'd say 48. It was aggressive, which I liked. Just ask for the ones that clear the STi Brembos.

I did initally have concerns about the combo of the two lightweight pieces on the drivetrain after I hard that people got CELs on their WRXs when they did the combo. However, after talking with a lot of people, I opted for the STi lightweight flywheel which was not dropping so much weight to trip the computer sensors.

The flywheel makes downshifting on the fly without much thought very easy. Rev matching is effortless. Increased throttle response is noticeable down low in the power band allowing me to get to the power band quicker. The gears also make it fun. If I accelerate from 2000 rpm up the rpm range in 3rd or 4th gear, it feels like the car hits hyperspeed at around 4k when you are shoved back into your seat from the G force. Its hard to pull your head off for that brief period while we go from 4-6k in the rpm band.

I can't say I dont like it.

i love the fact that you kept a majority of your mods "OE" as this IMO is the best way to mod because you know that more than likely it's going to fit and it works.
