Ben, you've got 400 wtq on race gas. I like your level of mods...it's still "safe" in my eyes.

You see yourself going bigger turbo? 400wtq is niiiiiice as it is.

This car has to last me through grad school (I'll be going back in a year or two), and a blown motor is not something I can afford (let alone a turbo upgrade). Mark my words, I won't be going to big power mods any time in the next several years. If that means I'm on the rag...well then I guess I'm on the rag.

Thank god you will probably have me around to keep you grounded. Don't need all these other people's bad influences. haha I should have another Subie by the time you get out here (you know you are going to UCLA with me). Be like the old days, and my car will still be faster than yours.

Still be faster? Son, you haven't had a car faster than mine since March 2005.

I'll believe it when I see it, you better pray the Subie gods forgive you for buying a Lancer.

Also got some stuff in the mail this week, just small things:

- SARD Drain Plug Magnet
- Blackstone Labs oil sampling kit
- Hyper Rev

I'm going to change my oil this weekend, take a sample for Blackstone, and install the drain plug magnet.

hey Nan, what made you decide on getting the drain plug magnet versus the high power filter magnet? the filter magnet would attract more ferrous particles over its area versus the drain plug area. just curious.

nice move on the blackstone oil test kit!

I've never heard this before, so please explain to this n00b why I would want to do that? Increased condensation? Hmm.

It was available, and a good salesman made me buy something I didn't know I wanted

And like said, I think you should do both if you want full coverage. I also like the idea of a magnet sitting right in the flow of the oil, too...

My expectation is that Blackstone's report will show just normal levels of wear, but I'm sending it in for the peace of mind.
