Alright...that was a long day...basically worked from noon to midnight with an hour and a half in there for food. I worked kind of slow, making sure I thought through everything and being careful not to break anything My friend came over and helped from 2pm until midnight too, it was really helpful having a second set of hands!

So today, we got the following done:

- Took off the TMIC and security upgrade horns
- Installed Defi Boost sensor on BPV
- Installed Defi Oil Pressure sensor into oil galley plug
- Routed sensor wires to glovebox through the firewall
- Removed clock
- Removed OEM Boost gauge from steering column, removed hose connecting mechanical gauge to BPV (this took longer than I would have liked...Subaru loves those zip ties and puts them in the darndest places).
- Removed OEM turbo heatshield. Cut heatshield to fit bellmouth and ground the edges smooth(er).
- Removed OEM downpipe (no broken nuts/studs, PB Blaster and 15" breaker bar FTW! ). The transmission mount point was a PITA to get to, finally ended up going under the car from the front headfirst and taking my breaker bar to it.
- Removed OEM catback (so OEM Turboback is off the car).
- Installed O2 sensor in Cobb DP
- Installed donut gasket on Cobb DP

So I didn't get as far as I would have liked in the last 10 or so hours, but I'm happy because the major worries for this weekend (broken studs, messing up the OP sender install) are out of the way. So for tomorrow, that leaves:

- Install Cobb Turboback
- Wash and wax gold wheels
- Install GP Moto elbow
- Replace air filter
- Re-intsall TMIC (it was hard enough to get it off, putting it on will be annoying for sure).
- Wire Defi control unit to clock/hazard switch
- Install gauges in center pod
- Power the car up, check for anomalies, check if the gauges work
- Reflash to stage two

Jacking my car up takes tons of time alone...I can reach the front crossmember with my jack, but it took time to get the car up as high as we wanted it on the jackstands. I'm glad it was that high, because I was able to use my breaker bar underneath without any problems.

Phew. I'm tired, but excited for day two. I think we got the grunt work out of the way today, tomorrow is the fun stuff

Oh, btw whores, no busted knucles today My hands are sore as **** though, I'm gonna go pop a Motrin before bed.

I've taken lots of pictures, I'll put em up once I am done with all the wrenching!

Nope not done yet

I forgot to mention, Saturday will be cleaning the garage and organizing all the tools I've been using, as well as detailing the car.

I also forgot to mention that there's a puddle of PB Blaster on the floor underneath my car

Time just seemed to fly all day long, even though it felt like we were making quick progress....weird.

nice

Both Transmission and J-Hook bolts for the DP should be gotten to from underneath the car.

I told you it was worth it to do it yourself!!!

Also, you got all of the major headache work out of the way. Installing the TBE is a sinch. It's a little hard to get the DP over the studs and on the j-hook from underneath the car all by yourself. But, just keep trying. It'll go on.

Don't forget. When you put the I/C back on, take OFF the red hose from the y-pipe on the bottom of it, and put it on the turbo outlet first. Trust me, it'll be easier.

Even from underneath the transmission bolt was really hard to get to because we were coming in from under the passenger side side skirt (legs sticking out under the passenger door) and trying (which doesn't work that well). I finally got it by going in headfirst from the front (legs out by the front bumper) and I could get a clear view of the bolt. An open end wrench like Peaty used didn't work for me, so I brought out the breaker bar and managed to get it loose (and it had been soaking in PB blaster too - it was the hardest one to break hands down).

My friend is coming over again as soon as I have the golds cleaned and ready to swap for later today. He'll guide the upper half of the DP and I'll go in from under the car. Ditto for the I/C, I'll have him get the red hose on the turbo while I hold the I/C, and then I'll guide it onto the throttle body. If that doesn't work, I'll take the red hose off

I'm gonna get myself ready and get out there to clean the golds!
