Thanks Josh.

My favorite mod of the 3 is the dead pedal... surprisingly

I haven't had enough time driving with the new knob. I actually like that the stock one is taller... but I'm gonna give this some time to see how I like it.

The hazard switch I am on the fence about, I like how the silver one looks too. I'll give it a few weeks

The hazard switch is JDM, yo. You gotta keep it.

I cleaned the **** outta the dead pedal before I shipped it. Damn thing was sparkling

A photo-whore's worst nightmare... I've exceeded 10GB of image transfer this month, looks like my pictures won't work for another 4 days

Well, not much to update on since my car is basically "done" for now But I did some winter prep a few weeks ago and also changed my trans/front diff and rear diff fluids. I also performed an oil change...

Running Amsoil 5W30 for this change to see if I like its cold performance better than the 10W30 I normally run. So far, I'm happy.

Front diff/trans: Amsoil SVG 75W90 Severe Gear lube
Rear diff: Amsoil SVG 75W90 Sever Gear + Amsoil SlipLock friction modifier

I also bought an Amsoil bottle pump and it made filling the trans and diff a piece of cake. The 30mm wrench for the rear diff cost $20

The fluid change took me some time (and I made a mess) but overall it wasn't too difficult. Just a bit harder than an oil change, basically... BTW, the stock fluid (and Amsoil SVG for that matter) smells like absolute ass. I wasn't expecting it to stink so bad

I only took one picture during the fluid change. I was having trouble loosening the rear diff filler and drain bolts (this was the first time I ever changed the fluid). I sprayed it with PB blaster but it didn't seem to help much... I just couldn't get the leverage I needed to loosen it.

So I called up Ben (fullerton) and he told me his method: use the jack to push the wrench! Genius

Worked like a charm!

So far I've been happy with the SVG, the car's cold weather shifting is a lot better and it feels less stiff when cold. Hopefully it lasts me 30k miles...

That's all folks

^^ we tried that "jack to push wrech" method when we were trying to install trey's coilovers... only problem was we were going the wrong direction

how often are you suppose to change the trans/front diff and rear diff fluids?

That sucks

Yeah I think 30K miles is about right... I did mine a bit early (26k miles) because my tranny felt like crap in colder weather.

I used to drive for work to Madison, WI every week (and 100 miles a day before that) so I racked up a bunch of miles my first two years owing the car. Not so much this last year though...

I'd be under 10k miles if it weren't for two monster road trips back to the South.

But it's a car. It's supposed to be driven.
