I'm using traditional flaps (the version before the new shorter version).

We retardedly drilled the holes wrong when trying to raise my flaps... so they are using the regular (normal/original) holes now.

I scraped the rears coming off of a driveway once, but nothing otherwise. I had the tires squealing with no flap scrapage to the best of my knowledge

I thought you drilled a third set of holes. Yeah, I don't know why neither of us realized we were modifying them backwards.

Yep, using the original holes. No scraping yet!

A local here is on Tanabes (GF210s?) and he had to raise his flaps because he scrapes. I'm not sure if his front end is lower though

is it necessary to use the camber plates and/or the group-n tophats? I was looking online for them and the price is pretty steep. Something like 100 each if im not mistaken........

If you're on stock struts, you don't have to use plates or new hats. But it certainly doesn't hurt.

EDIT: Holy ****, how did I know that?

I was going to go with Group-N tops originally, but figured:

1) The front Group-Ns are $120. Camber plates are $400. For the extra $280, I could have more camber (one of those "do it right the first time" moments for me... though part of me says "do it right the first time" = coilovers ).

2) It gave me a more even stance.

It was worth the extra for the camber plates, IMO. But you certainly aren't required to buy plates or tops... (your drop won't look like mine without the plates, be warned )

I take that as an insult.

I also have the real V-Limited lip, but when I measured mine it was 6" of clearance all around from both sides and 2 places in the middle. *shrug*

these are the Arai springs right?
Yes they should be the Arai springs. It's a complete Spec-C Type-RA take off suspension so whatever comes on the Type-Ra is what I have. I was told (and from the reasearch I did) they were the Tarmac/Arai springs which are stiffer and have a bigger drop then the JDM Pinks.

from what i can tell, the Type-RA and RA-R come with the same setup which is 5mm higher than the regular JDM Pinks (also seen on the S204).

either way, it's all good.

You can even tell in the picture that I have more clearance in the middle (it appears to slope upwards). It wasn't accurate measurement by any means, just a tape measure, but the sides were definitely an inch less than the middle

could be worse, you could have gotten springs & group n's, then replaced the n's with plates, then 4 weeks later gotten coilovers with built in plates.
