They scrape on everything for me. My car's lowered some though. Every speed bump, sometimes even when I'm going down onto the road from a higher driveway. I still love them because they keep the car clean, but with a lowered car mine look hashed, most of the scraping comes around sharp corners, heheheh.

Looks nice, Nandarp!

Thanks man!

I guess I have to look forward to screwing up my flaps once I lower the car...

^Ach, don't worry about screwing up mud flaps. Those are easily (well, price wise) replaceable.
It's when you shear your Limited front lip spoiler into three pieces because the snow is piled up around your ass, and weighs 2000 pounds, and you try and use it as a plow. That's when it gets expensive!! Mmmkay, bye $500.

Ya, I'd say that's worse Naw, I don't care about messing up the flaps...I'd be more worried about the flap getting ripped off and gouging up the fender (where the screws attach) or screwing up the fender lining

Oh well, won't stop me from lowering her

Just trim them. Once I lower mine (which will be less than you're lowering yours), I'll drive it a few days and then decide. If they're too low, I'll trim them. Right through the rallyarmor logo if necessary.

Function > form.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. I doubt the rears will be an issue, more likely that the fronts will catch the pavement when cornering hard.

Well, your drop will be about 40% lower than mine (yeah, Prodrive springs hardly drop the car at all), so you're likely to have more issues. Like I said, trim'em. They're not made of gold.

When you going to get the springs? And install them?

Getting springs: <this week, if customs clears today>
Installing them: probably this summer, maybe July 4th-ish

NTB/WTB: RCE Lowering camber plates & air tools (? )

Already told the pops I'm thinking about getting air tools for their garage back home He didn't fight it, like I kind of thought he would

I might have my wheels paid off by the 4th of July. I've put a for sale thread up for my old RE070s. If I can get them paid off sooner, well, yay. But my renter's insurance needs to be renewed this month. I need a raise.

:1up: I still want/intend to get sways and install them in April/May when I swap my summer tires back on. Just need the money to buy sways and endlinks...and then save for the plates, tools, etc.

It'll be like going from driving on wet noodles to...well...super sticky RE070s with sways

Hmm, maybe I should strive to buy air tools before I do the sways...

I look at it this way. The wheels are the major expense - the single most costly mod I'll ever make (hopefully). The rest I can easily do piecemeal. Well, buy them. I don't like installing things, so I'd prolly set aside a time and install everything at once.

Air tools are expensive. You might need to spend $500 on a tank plus each tool. It adds up quick.

You can borrow my $40 harbor freight corded impact wrench if you want, though hand tools are more then enough for sway installs. Springs need an impact wrench.

oh- make sure you get a big enough tank for your tools. the little ones won't run an impact wrench effectively. they need to be big (think people sized) to run some tools.

Though your $40 impact wrench sounds like a decent option, where'd you buy it? It has enough juice to do the springs?
